SERVING THE LORD
Ministry is not Supermarket, where practically anyone can open one. Ministry is also not an "All-Comers' game. It is a call to serve the people of God in a particular city, state or country.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not a business where the businessman looks for the choicest place or market to open a branch..NO!. You are assigned by God to a place with a message. The people in such a place are your primary focus, though you can also minister in other places.
God cannot send you to Agbor and you decide to open the ministry in Lagos because rich people are in Lagos. You may not even know where Agbor is located on the map of Nigeria, but the moment God says go to Agbor, that's it brother, and there is nothing you can do about it. The reason is simple...The gospel is not yours, but God's. The souls also not yours, but the Lord's. You are just a channel to reach them with the message of hope and blessing.
It hurts me to hear Ministers of God saying that Nigerian Pastors' messages end at our Airport because their messages and prayers are only relevant in a poverty-stricken environment like Nigeria, where there are no social amenities etc. That is so myopic!
A Pastor assigned to a city in Nigeria will be used by God to meet the need of people in Nigeria, and his messages will be according to the situation in Nigeria. The same goes for Pastors called to operate in Europe. None of such Pastors can achieve anything in Nigeria.
The spiritual environment of these two locations is not the same, and the people's problems are not the same, how can their messages be the same? Such Pastors can visit and preach in Nigeria, but if you ask them to relocate to Nigeria, their effectiveness and success will decimate with time. Why? you have taken him out of his place of assignment, where his flocks are.
The demons that operate here do not have the same agenda as the demons that operate in Europe. Imagine a lady sleeping with a man today and by tomorrow 'Magots' is coming out of her private part, and within seven days she is dead. Do you hear such stories in Europe? If you take such a lady to those Pastors there for prayer, will they not argue the lady is paranoid? or insane? Yet the story is true.
Will American and Europian Pastors discern the 'Arrow of death' fired against the lady, which is manifesting as the 'Magots'? Do they understand the 'Back to Sender' prayers we offer here, that will effectively return the arrow of death back to the wicked man that issued it?
Ministers are sent to a people or place to serve God there and meet the spiritual need of the children of God there. That is how God ordained it from the Bible. In Exodus 3:10-12, God called Moses and sent him to Pharaoh, to deliver the children of Israel from their bondage in Egypt. Moses complained about his inadequacies and God assured him that He will be with him.
In Acts 22:21, Paul speaking gave an account of his encounter with the Lord on his way to Damascus in this way: "Then He said to me, ‘Go! I will send you far away to the Gentiles." In Acts 9:15, the Lord to Ananias that Paul was a chosen vessel. He says "But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel".
A time came when Paul was Spirit charged I would say, and he wanted to preach the gospel everywhere, but the Spirit forbid him from preaching the Word in Asia. The reason was that he was needed in Macedonia. He Paul saw in a vision of the night, there stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. Acts 16: 6-10.
Jonah was another man called by God in Jonah 1:1-3 and asked to go to the city of Nineveh and deliver a warning from the Lord. He refused initially and instead ran away, hoping to flee from the Lord. The Lord then prepared a mighty fish to swallow him in the sea where they will throw him into and spit him within the waters of Nineveh, where he was sent to.
After his encounter with the fish, he repented and delivered the message - Jonah 1:17-2:1. God has a message and place for any man He calls to work for Him. I remember one of our fathers of faith in Nigeria Bishop Oyedepo saying that he has never missed a Sunday service at Shiloh, in Ota since the church opened there because that is his place of assignment.
When God asked me to leave the church where I was trained, I asked God if I cannot practice in the church where I have been for many years, and the Lord said to me...The Pastor is your spiritual father, but the message I have given to you is different. Simple!
Any preacher saying that Nigerian Pastors and their prayer ends at the Airport is simply missing a point. You are sent to a place and people, and ministry is not done by human wisdom!
CONCLUSION:
Friends, Jesus is coming soon. It is the loving-kindness of God that He has kept you alive till now. So, give Him praises and receive His Son, Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life.
Today is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be late!
Say this simple prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again for my justification. I repent of my sins and ask for forgiveness. I ask Jesus to come into my heart and reign as my Lord and Saviour.
I receive Him by faith and I am born again.
