SPIRITUAL SLAVERY...And how to come out!
Introduction
The reason why many people are so helpless in life today is that they are in spiritual captivity. Many are in bondage to sin, sickness, and addiction, while others are in bondage of fellow men - their relatives and friends and going through very horrible conditions.
The resultant effects of captivity include doing the things you hate and living the lifestyle of another person - the Oppressor. I wrote in one of my series on the strongman that their common characteristic is that the strongman or woman likes to change the destiny of their victims.
Strong men and women use their demonic power to try to change the profession of their victims. They spiritually monitor and hinder their victim to make sure nothing good comes to them.
A captive is a person with a lost identity. Such a person may have been royalty before being captured by the enemy, but he or she has become a slave and must now live at the mercy of his or her new owner.
A captive loses dignity and suffers from low self-esteem and emotional trauma from thinking about the situation that led to his or her captivity.
A captive is in a worse situation than an ordinary prisoner because a prisoner’s jail term is fixed, but a captive has no hope of being set free.
Above all, the situation of a captive is hopelessly filled with regret. The big question is, can a captive find true freedom?
The Holy Spirit answers this question in Isaiah 49:24-25: “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.”
It is a truth of life is that many people are living the life they don’t like, in conditions, they hate so much, yet they do not know how to change. Spiritual captivity is a horrible experience in life. The Bible made it clear that there are two categories of captives.
1. The prey of the mighty
2. The Lawful captives
In Isaiah 49:24, the Bible asks “Shall the prey be
taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered”?
It is a tragedy for any man or woman to enter into the bondage of another man or woman. Such people will struggle throughout life and may never achieve anything because spiritually, they are in prison and cut off from the issues of life.
They cannot see opportunities, nor will they engage in any meaningful activity on earth that will move their lives forward because they are spiritually blind and covered from good things. Under spiritual bondage, the glory of a person is buried, that people cannot see or notice him, no matter how good the person may be in his works. At best, they are fed and sustained to live and see their own downfall.
Anyone in the bondage of a strongman or woman shall be set free today. In Luke 4:18, the bible says Jesus came to set the captives free. It says: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”
Who are Spiritual Slaves?
These are people whose destinies have been exchanged with or
without their permission. They have been
caged under a well-planned and orchestrated bondage. They are vulnerable to spiritual attacks from
all directions with nowhere to turn.
A very frustrating and painful experience, they are hedged
in the spirit with multiple chains from different strongmen or women. I was in a deliverance meeting years ago,
when the officiating minister says he saw a person tied down with multiple
chains, from head to toe, that’s a spiritual slave.
Those who go through captivity have no breathing space, they
are constantly fighting spiritual battles in the dream and tormented in real
life. The strongman or woman holding
them captive will always be mocking them and whatever they do is not good
enough and a waste of time.
Their earlier experience would start with dreams like seeing
masquerades pursuing them in the dream, or losing valuables to armed robbers in
the dream. Many times, also such people experience people like Soldiers
flogging them in their dream. At these
times, the enemy is putting them in chains in the spirit and they are not
aware.
By the time their destinies have been exchanged or upturned in the spirit, they will start noticing that things are no longer working for them as before. What takes a little effort to achieve becomes a herculean task for them, success that could be attained in a day would take them months or years.
Soon, they will start experiencing that they are eating food in dreams, and having sexual
intercourse as well, two attacks that introduce spiritual pollution and
poison into the body.
Spiritual slaves are people who suffer physical rejection, recurring
sicknesses, and Stagnation. In the same way
that slaves live at the mercy of their masters, spiritual slaves
live according to the desires of their masters, be they, witches or wizards.
Monitoring spirit:
One of the greatest grips the strongman has over the spiritual
slave is the spiritual mark they put on them, which enables them to monitor their movement
and everything they do. With a mark, placed on a person in the spirit, a demon begins to follow such a person around.
The demon would be on a ‘24/7 security surveillance
monitoring’ of the person to report any success, breakthrough and progress the
person is close to making, the witches or wizards, then take steps to abort
the successes. They are the powers
behind the near-success syndrome.
• It makes the victim vulnerable to the attack of evil
people, who can easily read the marks on them.
• It destroys spiritual immunity and makes the victims
vulnerable to spiritual attacks.
Any upcoming good news like a new job,
successful bid and foreign transfers and connections is revealed to the witch or
wizard before the person receives it. They
are the powers behind chronic poverty.
Monitoring Spirits are activated through evil marks placed on people in the coven. but you can wipe off their marks by the blood of Jesus.
When you pray and wash with the blood of Jesus, their marks are wiped-off. But then, you must start living holy. Without a righteous life, they will soon be able to return the marks again, whenever a person goes into sin.
WAYS OF ESCAPE
1. You must be born again: -
You must believe the word of God as true and accept the Son of God, Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour.
2. Acquaint yourself with the Word and be baptized:
The scripture and the Holy Ghost are your enablers in the faith. When you become born again, get water baptism as soon as you believe and then devote yourself to studying the word of God.
3. Holy Living: - Spiritual battles are easily
won by people who live holy. What do I mean? Holy living is simply
obeying God's word in the bible and doing what He says you should do. If
you will hearken to His words and obey His instructions, you will surely
prosper Deut 28:1-14
4. Flee from Sin: - Sin is a
reproach. Both the sin we do and the evil thoughts we harbour in our
hearts will hinder our prayers, and make victory very difficult. Sin brings
separation between man and God according to Isaiah 59:1-2.
5. Obedience to Christ - Our willingness to obey the words and
commandments of Christ at all times will deliver us from danger. Obedience
leads to submission and when there is submission, there is a
relationship. If you are not obeying the Word of God, you cannot say you
love Jesus or that you love God.
6. Purity of heart: - God loves purity of
heart and the pure in heart shall see the Lord, so you must keep a pure heart -
for if you regard iniquity in your heart - If there is a secret sin you hid to commit,
which you enjoy doing and each time, you make sure nobody sees you...Know for
sure that nothing can be hidden from God, and so when you pray, God will not
answer you.
CONCLUSION
If you are suffering under any strongman or woman, believe
that God will tame him or her for your sake.
John 8:36 has these words for you: “If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”Jesus came to set the captive free; call on His Name for your deliverance now!
Reject your condition and never cooperate with them. Remember that you are cooperating with your enemies, when you are not living holy when you have other gods, and when you are not praying daily.
