These are the reasons......YOU WERE SAVED.

REMEMBER... He Saved you to Serve Him

Introduction

God has an expectation of His sons and daughters and He made this clear in different pages of scripture.

He told Pharaoh to let Israel, His chosen people, so they can worship Him. in Luke 1:73-75, He swored to Abrahim, His friend to deliver his descendant from their enemy, so they can worship Him in truth and spirit, without fear all the days of their lives.

God expect His children to love, trust, worship and serve Hiim all their days. Salvation is the entry point to living the life God expects from His children.  Through salvation, a person is brought into the family of God's people on earth, with all the earthly and heavenly blessings attached.

The new birth is the rebirth of the human spirit through the Word and the Spirit of God. Jesus, our Master told Nicodemus in John 3:5, that Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Make no mistakes about this truth, though you have made the public confession to receive Jesus Christ as Lord, you are born-again by the word of God in your spirit. That is the word the Holy Spirit living inside of you, will use to transform your thinking and behaviour from bad to good.

Until the word of God enters your spirit- man, the old man with his pride and greed remains intact.  But, as you study the Word and meditate on it, you will begin to amend your ways and see things differently, think differently, and act differently.

The word of God never grows old, it is the cleansing water that make change possible. That is why old and new believers who do not study and meditate on the word daily will hardly change.

They will find it difficult to see things as the Lord would see them.  Their faith in God is at its low state, and their thinking canal. When temptation comes,  they lack the word to fight- back.

Such Christians will continue to justify sinful actions, and argue about the scriptures demanding righteousness and holy living, thereby making their conversion difficult.

Conversion is the challenge of modern day Christians. They think going to church and singing in the choir is all there is in christianity, but it's not do.  Jesus Christ told Nicodemus that  "Except a man is converted and become as little children, he cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven - Mathew 18:3.  Without conversion, you're not yet a child of God.

I have tried to explain the new birth because the new birth is a necessity to being saved, and being saved is the key that unlocks all the blessings of God.  The moment you become a child of God, His promises becomes yours.

God the Father becomes your Father, and your life moves to a new level, where God is interested in you and your matter. You will experience divine provision, protection, success in life, and at the end of your pilgrimage, eternal life.

The reasons why you were saved can be broken into:

Primary Purpose

1. To love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment - Mark  12:29-31.

2.  And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."  - Mark  12:29-31

3. To worship and serve only the Living God and reject idols, and never to mention the name of strange gods or serve them.

4. To obey His word and His voice and keep His commands.

Secondary Purpose

1.  To fear the Lord and walk in all His ways, and to love Him - Deut 10:12.

2. To live holy as the Lord our God is holy.

This is a call to practise holy living by committing your ways unto the Lord and work hard and diligently to achieve your destiny goals.  Resist every temptation to tell lies, keep a pure heart towards your neighbours.  Be humble and in all your dealings with people, be patient and show understanding.

3. To practice righteous living by helping others, pray for them, visit the sick, and elderly.  Help the widows, orphans, and the less privileged.

4. Identify and support the underprivileged around with pure heart, doing the work of charity and sharing what you have with others, without expecting anything from them.  This is called 'Lending unto God, your reward will be great!

5. Enthrone Christ into your world as Lord and Saviour. Know Him through the scriptures and obey His instructions and develop a personal relationship with Him. Spend quality time study the Bible, paying attention to His teachings and doctrines.

6. Do the work of Evangelism, spread the word of God to your circle of influence and beyond. Practice what you speak and preach openly, lead a godly and transparent life.

7. Reject black power, witchcraft, occultism and secret societies, you're a child of God. Don't try to manipulate people into doing your bidding using evil means.  Desire only the power that come from God.  Remember the Lord lives in you by His Spirit, whose temple you are.

8. Serve the Lord actively in your local church groups, serve Him in intercessory prayers, with your talent, in evangelism - Talk more about Jesus with friends and coworkers, family, and loved ones, be forthright, honest, and direct.  Talk about your relationship with Him, and how He has transformed your life for better.

9. Everyone has a cross, so even though you are saved, there will still be battles to fight. Don't let such matters disturb your service to God.  Instead, the Lord says you should carry your cross and follow Him and when you do that, you will soon look for the problem and you will not find it.

10. Learn how to approach spiritual battles with confidence. The truth is that if you go in the name of the Lord, victory is sure.  Do not panic or be frightened by your adversaries. Arm yourself with the relevant Word of God and pray with faith in Christ.

As a soldier of Christ, be spirituall disciplined and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in prayer and battles of life.

Conclusion

Finally, my beloved friends, Jesus is coming back very soon, to take believers into a life of peace and joy, without trouble and pains in paradise. If you will receive Him as your Lord and Saviour today, He will give you the power to succeed in life and make heaven at last.

For those who are considering whether to surrendering their heart to Him or not, I plead with them to do so without delay, tomorrow may be too late. Let them say this simple prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I am a sinner and I believe Jesus died for my sins, and He arose for my justification. I, therefore, open my heart to receive Him as my Lord and Savior.

Lord Jesus Christ, come and reign in my heart.  Thank You for saving my life, make me Your own from today, and write my name in the book of life.

You're born again!

Shalom!
