Developing your Spiritual Prowess

We are Fireinthebone, established to serve the Christian community through edifying messages, exhortation, intercessory prayer, and counseling.

We bring this message on spirital development with a fervent prayer that the Lord will open the spiritual understanding of readers.

At a time like this when the devil is raging everywhere, and looking for more people to go to hell with, every believer should seriously study the Word of God, to deepen our understanding about Him. 

Our God is Spirit and He created us in His image, so we're also spirit brings like in a bodily container. To connect to God, we need to develop our spiritual ability to see and hear in the spirit, through divine enablement, the power of the Holy Ghost.

Spiritual Understanding

It is important to know yourself in the spirit because, though we're in the physical would have happened in the spirit.  So, people who can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit would have advance information.

On the world, there will be challenges and battles to fight as people and forces contend for available resources.  Spiritual battles are inevitable, so believers should know that the devil the physical will surely come to test their faith in God, and instrument of test is problem, problems and problems!

he did it against Peter and the LORD prayed for him, that his faith will not fail.  Jesus did not pray to stop the devil from tempting Peter or desiring to own him and use him, instead, He prayed that his faith will not fail on the day of temptation.  

If your faith will not fail, you better dig deeper into the bible and have the Holy Spirit as your guide.  That will open your spiritual understanding, and make it easy for you to discern spiritual mysteries and other circumstances.

Embracing the Word

The challenge of these days is to get men and brethren to devote quality time in studying the word of God, getting the word inside their spirit, and obeying to do what the word says.

When we study the Word and meditate on it every day, our knowledge of God increases and we are able to understand what love means.  Our relationship with our neighbours gets better also as we become more considerate, patient and humble.

Giving ourselves to the word, draws the Holy Spirit closer to us, to guide and assist us.  He lets us into the will of God in different areas of life, which impacts our desire and value system.  That knowledge of what God expects from us causes us to repent from our evil ways and dedicate our life to pleasing the Lord.  

That is what the Holy Spirit do for Believers, to explain the bible to us, show us the ways of the Lord,  and mould our life and desires in accordance with the will of God.  It transforms the way we see things and value them.  You cannot understand the scriptures without the help of the Holy Spirit, the One that inspired it in the first place.  

Believers must know the Holy Spirit and surrender to His leadership if we want to live a victorious life.  This is because we are in the era of the Holy Spirit.  He is the God with us on earth today, sent by the Lord to guide, teach and comfort us and any Believer who does not have the Holy Spirit will suffer greatly.

As the bible said, we are born again by the Word of God inside of us. Believing the Word, and practising establishes the Believer in the things of God.  Whoever embraces the Word and the Holy Spirit that wrote has just started his or her 'walk of faith' and the following will result:

1. You will naturally enjoy praying and praising God,  sharing His blessings and the Good News with others.

2. You will be willing to serve the Lord in your local church and contribute in every possible way to the growth and advancement of kingdom business, including soul winning. 

3. Live and walk by faith.  You will fashion your choices and actions according to the Word and when important decisions are to be made, they are taken according to the Word, irrespective of present circumstances.  You are sure that the Lord will honour His word in your life.

4. It will be easy for you to show love to people and be grateful to God and man for their help. Gratitude will flow naturally from a humble heart.

5. Fasting and praying will become a way of life.  You will also stop worrying, but instead, you will work hard, do your part and commit the rest unto the Lord. The Bible tells us to strive for excellence, it says “Whatever you do, do well” (Ecclesiastes 9:10). That is one clear identity of successful believers.  They will not leave everything to prayer, NO!.  They will diligently exercise their wisdom and skill in their work or profession while asking the Lord to bless them.

6. You will choose to do the right things, speak good words, including words of blessing that edify others.  You will get on the good side of life, speaking words that will uplift, encourage, and bless people and gradually, your new lifestyle will begin to manifest before people.  They will soon see a more reliable you, kind and helpful.

I pray that the Lord will bless you and make you a blessing to others in Jesus name.

If you will receive Him today as your Lord and Saviour, He will give you the power to succeed in life and make heaven at last.  Say this prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I am a sinner and I believe Jesus died for my sins, and He arose for my justification. I, therefore, open my heart to receive Him as my Lord and Savior. 

Lord Jesus Christ, come and reign in my heart.  Thank You for saving my life, make me Your own from today and write my name in the book of life.
