PROVOKING DIVINE HEALING.....By Obedience and Praises

HOW TO PROVOKE DIVINE HEALTH

There are times when all we need to do to receive our healing or deliveranc3 from God is simply to obey His word and believe His promises.  There is the case of Naaman, the Syrian General in the bible who received healing by obeying the instructions of Prophet Elisha in 2 Kings 5.

It is not as though healing is the reward obedience, NO!.  It is only saying that there are righteous lifestyles which attract divine intervention in the life battles of a Christian.

Let's look at three healing scriptures with conditions attached.  Psalms 41:1-3,  is looking at a righteous man suffering in a sickbed and what God says concerning his healing.  The scripture says that because the man takes care of the poor, the Lord will deliver him and sustain him in his sickbed.

See Psalms 41:1-3:

Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.  The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness.  You will sustain him on his sickbed.

Another conditional healing scripture is:  Isaiah 58:8 - Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

This scripture is teaching us about the right ways to fast, and of course how to receive from the Lord.  God is saying that the right was to fast is to fast with love and good works.  You are seeking God's help, prepare to help others.

You are seeking for deliverance, make sure you are not holding anybody in your heart or owing your staff salaries. Help the poor and needy so that God himself will show you mercy and heal you.

There is yet another conditional healing scriptures in Exodus 23:25.  It says:

"You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you". This scripture is saying that if you serve the Lord in your local church, there are health benefits accruing to your heavenly account

PRAISING GOD IN TIMES OF SICKNESS

The joy of the Lord comes from a deep understanding of who God is and your position in Him.  When you know your God, you are sure to do exploits.

Praising God in hard and difficult times is a sacrifice the Lord will never ignore.  That is why I am treating the topic for children of God to know what to do in difficult moments.  We cannot behave like unbelievers who are without Christ and hopeless...NO!

We have a  lively hope in Christ which nothing can shake off. We also have many reasons to praise and worship the Lord when we are sick.  Our assurance is from His word and His promises which cannot fall to the ground.  The Lord has promised to heal you and He is faithful.

When you have this understanding, your attitude will change from anxiety and fear to worship.  Remember Job, the richest man of his time was attacked by the devil and stripped of all his possessions including children in a day.  This man rose up from the floor where he was crying and worshipped God.  After worship, he made a profound statement that shocked the devil.

Job said, “Though He slays me yet will I trust in Him.”  After all the troubles came on Job, he sat on the ash heap nursing his wounds when his wife shouted out the exact words spoken by Satan before God  “Curse God and die.”  But the man replied saying:  “Naked came I into the world, naked shall I go out. Though He slays me, yet will I trust in Him.”

Imagine a man that just lost all his possessions praising the Lord and the bible said in all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing - Job 1.  I want to encourage you to do the same and see how God will honour your faith in Him.

Scriptural reasons to praise the Lord in times of sickness.

1. Proverbs 17:22 says: A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

2. The Psalmist says in Psalm 103:2-4:  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

3. Remember His promise to heal you in Jeremiah 30:17 - For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’

4. His word is spirit and life -  Proverbs 4:20-22 says:  -  My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.

6. He will supply all your need, including healing - Philippians 4:19 - And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

7. Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8. Proverbs 3:5-8 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

9. Matthew 11:28 - Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

10. Remember that Jesus is still healing the sick till now.  Hebrews 13:8 says "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever".

11. The Lord will heal you.  Isaiah 57:18-19 - I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners, creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and to the near,” says the Lord, “and I will heal him.

12. Believe the Lord, He is still healing the sick today.  Put your trust in His word and believe in His name and your healing will be established. Acts 10:38 - How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

13. Praise the Lord and trust in His mercy: Deuteronomy 32:39 - “‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal, and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

14. As you reverence the Lord, your healing will break out: Malachi 4:2 - But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.

15. Rejoice in the Lord and delight in His righteousness: Psalm 35:27- Let those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad and say evermore, “Great is the Lord, who delights in the welfare of his servant!”

Remember that  Jesus gave His disciples the power to heal disease and cast out demons.  This power is available to you as a Believer.

Rejoice in the Lord and praise His holy name, for He is faithful that has promised to heal you.

CONCLUSION

Friends, Jesus is coming soon.  If you have not yet received Him as Lord and Saviour, I plead with you to do it now.  If you are ready to surrender your heart to Christ, say this prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again for my justification. I repent of my sins and ask for forgiveness. I ask Jesus to come into my heart and reign as my Lord and Saviour.

I receive Him by faith and I am born again.
