Give the Lord thanks for a new year.


Dressing nicely every time demands paying attention to your body, the choice of fabrics and a sense of responsibility to look good as a woman. Your dress should be in accordance with your biblical beliefs and standards.  


God wants his Church to be glorious, without spot or wrinkle, and without blemish, so should a woman keep up with dignity in her dressing, not only for her husband if she is married, but also out of respect for the word of God.

You know that you are wonderfully made by God, so you should desire to please Him even in your dressing.  The Lord expects sisters to be queenly dressed.  I have made some research, and the result shows that looking gorgeous does not necessarily mean having millions in the bank account.  


Dressing like Royalty does not necessarily require millions, it requires careful planning, picking of fabrics and getting a competent Tailor to do the finishing.   


Royalties plan their wardrobe according to their resources and insist on getting the best in fitness, elegance and comfort. As a Christian, your appearance is important to God, so let the traces of quality, respect, dignity, elegance and confidence be reflected in your appearance.  


Though the events of today are pointing to the second coming of our Lord Jesus, born-again sisters are Queens in the kingdom of God, so they should combine royalty with godly virtues while keeping their body holy and heart pure.  Here are some tips on how to dress elegant every time.


1. Buy few but classic pieces of clothes


2. Dress appropriately for every occasion.  This could mean having a sense of the occasion and the right dress for it. For instance, it may be perfectly acceptable for you to wear a bikini to the beach, it would not be appropriate for you to wear a bikini to your office.


3. Purchase clothes that you can mix and match.  When going through your wardrobe, consider whether or not you can use each dress with at least two or three other clothes of yours and still look elegant.


4. Consider your body size when picking out your clothes.  Make sure your clothes are well fitted and flowing down to the right length, no matter your body type and size.  Make clothes according to your size and shape.  Accept only clothes that make you feel confident.  


5. You should dress to please your husband if you are married.  If you are single, then you should dress to please God.  God wants women to submit to their husbands in everything.  Everything includes how you dress and how you manage your appearance.


6. You should dress in feminine clothing - Someone should be able to look at your clothes wherever you go, and just by your clothing, they should be able to tell you are a woman. Yes, clothing styles change, but a woman should always look like a woman in her culture (whatever women wear).


Remember the word of God in Deut 22:5 which says “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.” 


7. Get a quality Tailor to sow your clothes the way you want them, and not necessarily according to worldly trend. Avoid clothes that you will be pulling down or struggling with.  Take time to inspect your clothes before wearing them.  Remember who you in the Lord.


8. Get rid of clothes that are worn or torn. Stop considering clothes that are stained, no matter how good they look on you.  Part of dressing well is giving away or selling old clothes, clothes that no longer fit or stained.


9. Consider your skin tone when buying your clothes. Picking clothes that complements your skin tone can make a great outfit much nicer. This is one feature you will see in the fashion of earthly queens. 


CONCLUSION


Friends, Jesus is coming soon.  If you have not yet received Him as Lord and Saviour, I plead with you to do it now.  If you are ready to surrender your heart to Christ, say this prayer: 



Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ.
I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again for my justification. I repent of my sins and ask for forgiveness. I ask Jesus to come into my heart and reign as my Lord and Saviour.  


I receive Him by faith and I am born again.
