POWER AND DELIVERANCE .....In the Word of God, Catch the revelation!

POWER AND DELIVERANCE IN THE WORD

Introduction

The word of God is power, the raw power of God, and when it is spoken in faith, It must accomplish the purpose for which it is spoken.  The Word of God is quick and powerful to fulfil every purpose of God, for which it was spoken.

The Lord Himself spoke concerning this in Isaiah 55:11, when He says  “So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”  – Isaiah 55:11

The word of God is incredibly powerful, it works wonders when spoken by faith.  The word can be received through studying the bible or inspired into your spirit man.  The word of God we receive in our spirit, Rhema is confirmed to happen.  It is a specific word released for a purpose, to deliver the person from danger and death.

The Word is a lamp because it is the Light that illuminates your mind, spirit, soul and body.  The light illuminates your way, directs your path through dangerous places of your earthly journey.  The word reveals the mind of God to you about any matter.  Beloved, a lamp can only guide those who are carrying it.

The Word makes you partake of divine Nature

The Word of God is able to change and transform your life, the word of God nourishes you and the bible says you are born again by the Word.  Jeremiah 15:16 says: “Thy words were found, and I did eat them…” (Jeremiah 15:16).  If you eat the word and embrace it daily, you are nourished in the spirit and ready to manifest goodness on the earth.

If you sit down with the word of God every day, you are immune from the works of darkness, from sickness and when the storms of life come, you are not afraid.  You know the right words to speak to the raging storm and it will calm down.

The word of God makes you a partaker of the divine nature of God, in that when you know the word, and obey what it says, your faith is built up.  When your faith is built up, you are able to believe and when you believe you shall see the manifestation of what you are believing God for.

Jesus said to Martha at the grave of Lazarus saying: "Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God"?  John 11:40. The ability to pray for yourself and others to receive healing, deliverance comes by the Word, that's the reality of the divine nature of God.

The word makes you a partaker of the divine nature of God through the knowledge of Christ.  The Word teaches you about Christ, what He did, what He is doing now and the power in His name and blood.  When you know your God, the Healer Himself, the bible says you shall be strong and do exploit.

When you know Jesus, fear goes from you.  You become rather bold to do everything.  It is in that spirit, the spirit of the knowledge of Christ that you do exploit.  It is in that spirit that you pray for yourself and others, and healing occurs. When your prayers are answered and healing, deliverance and blessings are released from heaven, you are partaking in the divine nature of God.  Beloveth, the word of God is quick and powerful.

God's Word is God
The word of God is God Himself and we can see this in John1:1, which says that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The Word of God is God, so you cannot leave the word of God and hope to succeed in anything meaningful.

If you leave out the word in your marriage, business and home, you are leaving out the Lord God, and there will be all kinds of darkness and failure. For the word of God is the light that shineth in darkness, and darkness cannot comprehend it.

The Word was with God in the beginning and all things were made by Him (The Word), and nothing was made that was not made by Him, In Him the Word was life, and the life was the light of men.  So in whatever endeavour you find yourself, you cannot do it without the Word.  The Word is the light that will illuminate your idea and guide you to the best ways to do what you are doing.

Deliverance is in the Word
Deliverance is in the word of God.  It is not in people falling down and convulsing on TV screen.  Whether there is a Minister ministering deliverance to you or not, deliverance is by the Word and by the Spirit of the Living God.  The deliverance minister waits on the Lord, speaks the words of faith in prayer and the person receives healing or deliverance.

A person desiring healing from the Lord will receive instant healing the moment you receive a revelation that Jesus took away your sickness.  It is not by reading, it is by revelation. He paid for your healing and good health with His blood at the cross of Calvary, all you need to receive what He has done is to claim your healing by faith and stand on your claim that you are healed because the word of God is true, simple and final.

Many have caught the revelation and got their miracles of healing and deliverance.  What is the revelation that by His stripes you are healed - Isaiah 53:5;  That the prayer of faith shall heal the sick and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him - James 5:15.

The word of God is the key to a Christian's prosperity.  If the word of God is studied and meditated daily and obeyed, the bible said in Joshua 1:8, that it shall make your ways prosperous.  This is telling you that the Word of God is a 'Way Maker', the word of God can open every closed doors against you and position you in a place for you to be blessed.

Many people coming for deliverance do so for prosperity sake, yet they have neglected the Word of God.  Many people go to the Hospital without first praying and telling God their problem.  Many drink the medicine the Dr prescribe without eating and drinking the Word of God.  Beloved the Word of God is food that heals and nourishes your body.

The Word of God is food:
1. The word is milk for babies - 1 Peter 2:2
2. Bread for the hungry - Mathew 4:4
3. Meat for men - Hebrew 5: 11-14
4. Honey for dessert - Psalm 19:10

Catching the Revelation

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.- Heb 4:12

Jesus never turned down anyone who came to Him for healing.   Often, He healed everyone listening to Him. The reason is that with God, nothing was impossible, and coming to Him in faith is the greatest requirement for healing.  He demonstrated this again and again during His ministry.

When the sick man was thrown down from the ceiling, instantly, the Lord stopped His preaching and attended to the sick man, and healed him.  To catch the revelation of the word of God is for you to meditate on the Word and hold it in your heart (Ps. 119:11, Deut. 11:18).

The question now is "How do you meditate and hold the Word"?

1. Plan time for regular study
It’s important to know that people make-out time for what they love, so when you are in love with the word of God, you will not let everyday concerns interfere.  So schedule study time and try to maintain it. Over time you will look forward to this daily experience (Ephesians 5:15-17).

2. Pray for understanding
It is key for you to ask God to guide and show you His will. Remember the whole Bible was written through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, so ask the Holy Spirit to open your understanding of the scriptures and what it means.  You cannot gain it on your own (Psalms 119:33-40; Proverbs 3:5-8; Jeremiah 9:23-24).

3. Keep an open mind
Remember that the Word of God will be pointing to your areas of weakness and the sin that are still present in your life.  Be willing to admit when you are wrong and change, even if it means letting go of a long-held belief or culture. That is one of the principal reasons for studying the word of God, transformation to become like Jesus Christ. (Acts 17:11; Isaiah 8:20).

4. Humbly seek instruction and correction
Approach the Bible with a teachable, humble attitude. The Word of God judges our innermost thoughts. It can show us who we really are. It can reveal every flaw in our character. So be ready to heed its correction (Jeremiah 10:23-24; Isaiah 66:1-5; Romans 8:6-9; Matthew 5:48).

5. Accept the inspiration of all the Bible
The entire Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. When studying, keep in mind that it is for reproof, correction as well as teaching, so that you can rightly divide the word and obey it.  See the Word as God speaking to you directly, not what God told the Israelites. (2 Peter 1:21; Philippians 2:5; John 6:63).

6. Seek guidance from spirit-filled Believers
It is always best to seek help from qualified people in any field of study. God has commissioned His servants to guide people into a fuller understanding of His Word. If you have questions, feel free to contact us. (Proverbs 11:14; Nehemiah 8:8; Acts 8:30-31; Acts 18:26; Romans 10:14-15).

7. Take notes
Jot down notes and explanatory comments in your Bible, a notebook or computer. This will help you remember key ideas or related scriptures. Some people use a marking system, with colours or symbols, to keep track of key verses by categories (doctrine, correction, prophecy, etc.). This can help you save time when looking for a particular section of Scripture.

8. Review and meditate
Take time to ponder what you have been studying and learning. The word is to make us better believers of Christ, so make effort to apply whatever you learn from the scriptures.  Recently, I led my children's daily devotional and after we studied the dangers of going to church late, we declared 'No more lateness to Church' and it has been that way.  I was teaching them to apply their learning. So, make it a duty to apply the verses in your everyday life (Psalms 1:1-3; Psalms 119:97-99; Psalms 139:17-18).

10. Obey the Word and prove it
Put God’s Word to the test by practising the things you are learning. Acknowledge how His ways bring positive change in your life. The best way to determine that God’s commands and teachings bring true peace and blessings is by living them (Psalms 111:10; 1 John 3:22; John 10:10; John 8:31-32; Malachi 3:10).

11. Hold fast to the truth
Once you have proven something to be true, don’t allow yourself to be lightly convinced out of it. While new evidence may overturn your previous conclusion, this must be the product of a serious study in God’s Word. Ask God to help you remain true to His teachings (1 Thessalonians 5:21; 2 Timothy 3:13-15; Colossians 1:22-23; Psalms 119:10-16).

12. Read the whole Bible
The entire bible is one, inspired by the Holy Spirit of God for admonition and correction in godliness.  So, go through the Bible from cover to cover. By reading every section of the Bible, you gain a better understanding of God and His ways.

Staying with the Word
When you stay with the word, listen to messages and obey the word, the word begins to enter into your spirit and begins to transform your person.  The Word of God is spirit and life, as you meditate and retain it in your heart, personalize and confess them to yourself every day.

At that point, you are no longer speaking mere words, you are speaking life into your sick body and soon, you will rise from the sickbed.  More than the healing, if you continue to study and meditate on the Word,  the Lord will start talking to you.  As the Lord speaks to you often, you begin to understand His voice and be able to discern His voice, the next you hear Him.

Here are some of the healing scriptures you can personalize:

1. 1 Peter 2:24: Who his own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

2. Psalm 118:17: I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

3. Isaiah 53:4-5: Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes, we are healed.
4. Jeremiah 17:14: Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

5. Jeremiah 30:17: For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord.

CONCLUSION

Peter says “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” -1 Peter 2:2.  No matter what aspect of life you’re dealing with, God’s word is necessary and helpful in all situations.

Friends, the King (JESUS CHRIST) is coming.  The question is "Where will you spent eternity - in heaven or hell". This is the time to work out your salvation...Now is the acceptable time.  If you have received Jesus as Lord and Saviour of your life, say this short prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.  I repent of my sins and confess them to You, ask for forgiveness.  I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again for my justification.  I invite Jesus into my heart to reign as Lord and Saviour of my life.
