How to return Evil Arrow back to Sender!

Introduction

Affliction is described in the bible as adversity, evil, calamity, grief and similar conditions that could befall a man either due to his sins or the hand of the enemy.  Joy is not the absence of affliction, but a sign of victory in the midst of challenges arising from our faith and trust in God.  Such joy signifies confidence in the Almighty God.

The coming of Jesus Christ reduced to the barest minimum the number of people and times the Almighty God afflicts people these days.  What we have today is afflictions from the hand of the enemy, Satan himself or his agents afflicting children of God and the demons of affliction attacking sinners to punish them for their sins.

Spiritual Warfare Basics
In spiritual warfare, you should know certain basics that will help you and give you victory.  Some of the spiritual warfare basics include:

1. You must know your God very well and His power to save and deliver

2. You must know yourself, who you are in Christ.

3. You must also know the enemy, you are fighting, so there is no case of fighting the wrong enemy.  For instance, your wife, husband or children are never enemies.  Your neighbour and colleagues are never enemies. Satan is the enemy, who uses the people close to you to torment you.

4. You must also identify the source of the attack you are experiencing, which agent of darkness is fighting you and why are they fighting you.  You should be able to prayerfully identify the attacker and his reasons for attacking you.

5. You must know the Holy Ghost and be a friend of Him, and be guided by Him.

6. You must also know your spiritual weapons of war.

Though man is born into affliction according to Job, there are afflictions from God, there are afflictions from the enemy and there are self-inflicted afflictions. Afflictions from God is usually for a short time and to correct or discipline a person.  Take the case of Mose's sister Miriam in Numbers 12:1-15.

The Affliction from God - Sin is responsible!
When the anger of the Lord was kindled on Miriam for rebelling against Moses, the Lord afflicted her with Leprosy for her to be shut out of the Camp of the children of Israel for seven days, after which the affliction disappeared and she was received back into the camp.

That affliction came as a result of her rebellion in order to hide pride from her, as well as humble and correct her. It was meant to let her know the difference between Moses her junior brother and Moses the servant of God.  Moses as the servant of God cannot be rebelled against without God defending him before the people.

From the Devil
Affliction can also come from the devil, and such afflictions can hardly be explained.  If the person goes to the hospital without first praying and cancelling the arrow at home, the Laboratory scientists will not be able to detect the problem.  Take, for instance, a situation where a person woke up from sleep in the morning with a severe headache and continued throughout the day.  The pain was so severe that the person could not concentrate and do any work, both in the office and at home.

He went to the hospital and after several tests, nothing was found wrong with him. He does not have 'migraine' either, yet he cannot do anything and his head is aching him like it will blast.  When you notice such an attack, know for sure that it is from the devil, and most likely from a night operation, when men are fast asleep.

Quick Response
Let me show you how to deal with attacks like this one from the agents of the devil.  Whenever you wake up with any strange sickness, don't bother going to the hospital, unless you have prayed.  The enemy may have fired an arrow at the person in the dream, in the hour of the night and such an arrow MUST be returned back to Sender. Make sure you understand what is happening in your body, then put your fingers or hand on the part of your body being afflicted and command the arrow of the enemy to backfire in Jesus' name. Continue in this one prayer until the arrow leaves you...when the pain or trouble disappears.

For projections, strange sicknesses, gun-shut in the dream, all strange affliction, command the arrow back to the sender and continue to pray the same prayer until you recover from their attack, meaning the affliction returned to the sender.  I see people being religious with attacks from the devil as though they must suffer the pain...NO!.  Whoever refuses to confront and deal with the enemy is playing with his/her life.  The enemy is not your friend.

King David was a servant of God, a King, and a Prophet of the Lord and he prayed very acidic prayers and the Lord heard him.  He prayed through prayer according to the wickedness of his enemies, so he contended with the enemies attacking him with understanding. Why should you be gentle with the devil?, you better contend with him and claim the victory Christ bought for you at the Cross.  Every affliction from the devil must return to him in Jesus' name.

Self-Inflicted Affliction
Afflictions can also come from a person's lifestyle and the choices they make on a daily basis.  If a person is addicted to smoking and he will not hear any advice to stop smoking, he could be afflicted in the Liver or even heart as a result of smoking.

If you choose to live a careless life, a sinful and stubborn life, and will not accept advice to change, certainly such a person will suffer a lot of afflictions. That person could afflict his own heart and lungs with Cancer as a result of smoking and such afflictions may never be temporal.

People who have multiple partners, and those who go to clubs and dancing halls usually end up with an incurable sexual disease like HIV/AIDS.  For such people, the affliction is self-inflicted.  They knew the risk and danger, but could not control their body. These are how sin and sinful life bring affliction to people irrespective of their race and colour.  Whether the sin is armed robbery, fornication and adultery, stealing, murder etc, there are consequences of disobeying the word.

Afflictions common to all men
There are afflictions, pain and sufferings common to men.   These are called Troubles and in a few cases, an affliction.  Friend, you don't really have to do anything to experience some kind of afflictions and trouble. Take for instance the nine months a woman would have to carry her baby in the womb.  This is common to all women, and as soon as a woman becomes pregnant, it is activated in her life.

She can decide to manage the trouble in her own way.  Each woman manages the pain for nine months according to her ability and grace till she brings forth her baby.  She may choose to reduce her daily task and increase her rest period.  The pain is for a period of time and God has also made it so that her husband would willingly love and encourage her during this period like never before.

My purpose for writing on this topic is to encourage believers to fight back, whenever the devil attacks them with sickness.  So, even though the scriptures say that  “many are the afflictions of the righteous.”, but the Lord delivereth them from it all, yet the child of God is not helpless when the agents of darkness attack him. We are not powerless.  We have the Holy Spirit to help us, the Word of God, the blood of Jesus and other spiritual weapons to contend with the enemy and win.

We have the Holy Spirit dwelling is us to give us a quick understanding of what is happening.  He gives us a discerning Spirit to know what to say and do.  He helps us with the specific prayer points that will destroy the works of darkness and their arrows.

Before you start praying
The grace to pray your way out of trouble, even afflictions is a sign that you are a man or woman of faith who can assert his rights in Christ and enforce it.  If you don't know your rights, if you cannot enforce your rights, then you are not ready to pray yourself out of the satanic dungeon.  For you to pray yourself out of trouble and attacks from the devil, you should note the following:

1. Identify the enemy fighting you and his weapons of warfare
2. Search yourself and know the legal ground they are standing on to attack you
3. Examine your life and see if there is sin, present or past sin that has opened the door for the attack.

Examine your relationship with others and see if :
1. You are misusing your tongues
2. Resentful to people and their opinion
3. Pride is making you abuse and fight people with spiritual authority.
4. Hardness of heart is getting in the way of your friendliness.
5. Have you become hypocritical about many things and people are not able to trust you again?
6. Are you beginning to slide back into sin, forgetting the word of God and going out of the way to make things happen for yourself, in which case you are no longer innocent?
7. Is the affliction a result of your sins?

Worst kinds of Afflictions
There may be different sources of affliction, but the worst of afflictions come from people who are close to you.  If the devil successfully enters into someone close to you and you did not discern it on time and take some precautions, certainly affliction may follow.

Men afflict their fellow men, housewives afflict their maids, but the worst of all afflictions comes from the following sources:
1. Affliction from household enemies (Your siblings, Inlaws and Kingsmen).
2. Masters afflicting their servants / Slaves.
3. Wicked husbands afflicting their wives.
4. Wicked wives afflicting and oppressing their husbands.
5. Envious neighbours seeking to bring a person down, kill or destroy.
6. Members of your household conspiring against you spiritually.
7. Enemies from your Village conspiring against you.

Worst kinds of Afflictions
Afflictions from these sources should never be taken for granted.  They are usually very fatal because these people are always around you and they know your history and movements.  You confide in them without knowing their bitterness of heart, anger and bitterness.  They know when you were born and your entire history in the spirit and it is easy for their attacks to hit the target if the Blood of Jesus is not covering you.

Imagine that a woman's husband is her enemy, where will she run to and be safe? Imagine also for a moment that a man's wife is his enemy, the woman that cooks the food in the house, that knows everything about the husband, what he eats and what he likes and dislikes.  You dream and saw your mother warning you that you will not succeed, or that in the work of God - the ministry, she will stop you. Maybe it is your Uncle, who sponsored your University education telling you that he will surely stop you.

Whenever you have such close relatives or even close friends working against you in the spirit, you must realize you have a serious battle to fight. These are enemies you cannot run away from, so you have to engage them in spiritual warfare to nullify their vows against you and make their arrows impotent.

How to Contend - Spiritual battle
This is why a Christian must understand spiritual warfare because the enemy sometimes may not be far away.  He or she may be of the same household as you.  Your uncle or Aunty you love so much may be the power behind your affliction,  So you need the help of the Holy Ghost to discern and destroy their wicked plans and moves.

Your target is to destroy their works and not them and leave judgement to God Almighty.  Even in this kind of battle, the Lord uses it to train the person for the higher assignments.  If you can prayerfully destroy arrows thrown at you by your family members and overpower them in the spirit, you are going places in the Lord.

Specifically, you have to decide to be consistent in the following:
1. You should regularly pray at night hours - Keep a regular night watch
2. Live a holy life, so when they visit you in the spirit, they will find nothing evil on your hands.
3. Pray without season - Day and night
4. Study and meditate on the word of God regularly...or daily.
5. Walk by love and be a man of faith.

While Prayer is Ongoing:

Never exhibit any fear, remain confident in God's ability to deliver you and make your ways prosperous.  Household enemies usually target your success and plan to stop it. n So, remember that in every way we’re troubled but not crushed, frustrated but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed.

Remember that -  Many are the afflictions of the righteous one, and Lord Jehovah delivers him from all of them. And he will keep all his bones so that not one of them will be broken. Psalm 34:19-20

And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. 2 Corinthians 1:6-7

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28

Be happy in your confidence, be patient in trouble, and pray continually. Romans 12:12

Rest assured in God for His word says:    No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Remember also that, like Job said:  “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Job 1:21

Examples of men that endured Affliction in faith.

Apostle James -  James 1:2-4 My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways. You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance. Endure until your testing is over. Then you will be mature and complete, and you won’t need anything.

Apostle Peter -  1 Peter 1:6-7  You greatly rejoice in this, even though you have to suffer various kinds of trials for a little while, so that your genuine faith, which is more valuable than gold that perishes when tested by fire, may result in praise, glory, and honour when Jesus, the Messiah, is revealed.

Apostle Paul - Hebrews 12:10-11 For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
