WHY I LOVE JESUS CHRIST........The Creator, Lord and Saviour!

JESUS CHRIST, GOD THE SON!

Introduction

The power of God is a hidden treasure, a gift that many of us ignore due to ignorance, and as a result, many spend their lives in misery. The power of God that brings light into darkness is Jesus Christ. The Bible says as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

He was described as the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. The same is the Word that was with God in the beginning.  All things were made by Him.  When Jesus comes into life, darkness departs and the light of God stays.

Jesus changed the lives of people and all who knew Him trusted in Him. He was born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. When Jesus comes into a heart, there are changes you will notice in the life of that person, for instance:

1. Joy unspeakable  - Fills the heart of such a person.  Why the joy - because the spirit inside the man has been transformed by the power of God to be in tune with the nature of God. So that the joy of being a son of God, with all the powers of heaven at your disposal, radiates in the life of such a believer.

2. Quick understanding - When Jesus comes into a life, the thinking of that person changes for the better.  If the man used to cheat people in his business, he will instantly realize that what he is doing is wrong and decided to change - the Holy Spirit inside of him will quicken his understanding of the things of God.

3. Illumination - When Jesus enters a life, the person sees himself as he is - a sinner, someone who is doing his own thing and following worldly ways.  You may be educated to Ph.D., but yet the word of God is not the basis of your life and the things you do.  You are powered by worldly wisdom, pursuing worldly glory in the worldly way.  You are educated, but yet far from the knowledge of God and His ways.

4. Light Comes - Who is the light of the world?  Jesus Christ is the light of the world.  Whenever Jesus comes into a life, sorrow goes out, and instantly joy comes in.  In Mark 5:35-42, He entered the house of Jairus, He told the people crying over the death of his daughter that the damsel was only sleeping.  He drove them away, took the girl by the hand, and commanded her to come alive. He gave life to the one that is dead and asked that the girl be fed. Whenever Jesus enters your life, please remember to bring out everything dead in your life, and He will give them life again. It could be your marriage, difficult children, your job or no job at all, please table them before Him and He will restore them!

All those who come to Jesus got a solution to their problems.  The woman with the issue of blood, an affliction that tormented her for 12 years, came to Jesus on the way, made effort to touch His garment and she was healed and the darkness left her. This woman of faith, after trying many doctors without a solution decided to present her problem to Jesus on the way. And when Jesus turned to see who touched Him and she explained herself, the Master said to her, Daughter, thy faith has made thee whole, go in peace and be whole of thy plague - Mark 5:25-34.

A Leper came to Him, presenting his problem and seeking to be healed of his leprosy. Jesus made him whole and he went home that day rejoicing and his sorrow was gone. Even the insane, every problem that gets to Jesus receives a solution. In Mark, there was the violent madman who recognized Jesus on the way and the spirit in him cried with a loud voice "Jesus, thou Son of the Highest..."  Jesus commanded the darkness in him to come out of him and immediately he was set free from a legion of demons.

Jesus is a comforter.  One evening, the bible recorded that after His crusade in the neighborhood, all the people that had any sick with divers diseases brought them, and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them...and the devils came out of many on their own, crying out and saying "Thou are the Son of God.

Jesus as a comforter conducted deliverance on the people that were brought to Him.  He healed the sick and cast out demons from the people oppressed by unclean spirits because He is the son of the Most High God. I  want to assure you that as you give your heart to Jesus after reading this message today, all you need to do is to mention your problem to Him.  He will attend to it and you will be comforted.

Jesus is compassionate and merciful.  When He saw the widow of Nain going to bury her only son and the people following her and crying - for the dead boy was the only son of the widow, He had compassion on the woman already bereaved of her husband, now on the way to bury her remaining joy.  Jesus stopped the burial procession and commanded the dead boy in the coffin to rise up and the boy came back to life. I don't know what is dead in your life, Jesus will raise that thing back to life again today.

Jesus is a Destiny Changer.  A blind beggar saw Him on the way to Jericho and cried to Him for help. He shouted on top of his voice for the Master to hear saying "Jesus, Thou son of David, have mercy on me" and the destiny changer stopped and asked that the blind man be brought to Him. The Lord asked him one question - What do you want me to do for you? The blind man replied that Jesus should heal his sight - that he might receive his sight and the matter was settled.  Beloved, bring that challenge to the destiny changer, and the solution will come.

Jesus Christ, the light of the world, sent from the Father to us that the people that walk in darkness might see a great light, that those that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, should see light is the 'Anointing" you need to change your life and those of others around. This is why the bible says "Christ in you, is the hope of glory"

God has revealed His Word to us in the person of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus has given us an example of how to live blamelessly and in the presence of God always, by praying continually and waiting to receive instructions from the Father before we do anything.

Jesus taught us to love God with all our spirit, soul, and body, with our strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves. He also taught us to have faith in God and to believe His word.  He assured us that whenever we pray to God in faith, without any doubt, we will receive an answer to our prayers, all these are meant to make us become the sons and daughters of God.

What do you want Him to do for you?

When we accept Jesus and follow Him as a disciple, His presence goes with us and everywhere we enter, Jesus enters with us and darkness in the place must give way to light.

i) Do you want to be free from the torments of demons, agents of darkness?  Come to Jesus.

ii) Do you want to be healed or delivered from oppression?  Come to Jesus

iii) Do you want people to be healed, even while you are preaching - Come to Jesus, that was Jesus's experience in Luke 5:17.  As Jesus was teaching that day, the power of the Lord was available to heal the sick.

iv) Do you want to be a success in life - In marriage, business or carrier? Jesus is the key you need to open your world.  He is the one that giveth thee the wisdom to prosper, the same wisdom prolongs life.

v) Do you want to see healing, miracles, signs, and wonders happening in your life and ministry? Jesus is the way.

vi) Do you want to decree a thing and it is established unto you? Jesus is the way to follow.

The anointing that breaks every yoke is Jesus Christ.  If you have Him today, your yoke and the yoke of others around you will break.  Will you surrender your heart and every one of your problems to Him today?

Looking up to Jesus Christ?

1. It is committing your ways into His hands every day.  As a businessman, before you leave the house in the morning, you spend quality time in praises and prayer, committing your life, family, and business unto His hands for that day and He will help you to succeed.  Proverbs 16:3

2. Looking unto Jesus, who is the embodiment of Godhead means to be free from fear this year.  Anything that frightens you can harm you and the devil cannot capture you till he put fear into your heart.  You cannot serve the Almighty God in fear - NO.  Your God is not powerless and the bible said you should be rooted and built up in Him and be established in the faith that no threat of the enemy can terrify you Col 2:7

3. Looking unto Jesus Christ is set your affections on things above and not things on the earth - for you are dead to the things of this world, the fashion, craze for money and power.  You are in the world, but you are not of this world, your life is hidden with Christ in God.  So, as you go about your business every day, you are not unmindful of heaven and the things of God, love for God and your neighbor.  Giving and sharing what you have with people in lower positions of life is paramount in your heart.

4. Looking up to Jesus Christ is to mortify members of your body and excise every uncleanness, fornication, inordinate affection, covetousness, and all idol-worshipping = which things the bible say brings the wrath of God upon children of disobedience.  Those may be your former lifestyle, anger, wrath, keeping malice, dirty jokes that corrupt the mind, which is called filthy communication, lie telling etc.  As you take steps to mortify your members you are looking unto Jesus Christ.

5. Looking up to Jesus Christ is waiting and receiving the promise of the Father - for John truly baptized you with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost and with power...and Jesus continued by saying that 'when the Holy Ghost comes upon you, automatically the power to witness Him everywhere on the earth comes upon you also. Acts 1

Permit me to say that you cannot do much or even think of winning this year without the help of the Holy Spirit.  So be ready to wait on the Lord more this year to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, if you have not received Him yet.

6. Looking up to Jesus Christ this year will mean putting on the bowels of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering and forbearing one another and forgiving one another in love and putting on Charity - the bond of perfection that brings peace of mind and divine security.

7. Looking up to Jesus means the word of Christ dwelling in you richly in all wisdom and thanksgiving.  It also means allowing the word of God to dominate our life and everything we do, doing it in the name of the Lord.

8. Looking up to Jesus this year means that Wives will submit to their own husbands as unto the Lord and not in hypocrisy as many do. It means that husbands would love their wives and children and be not bitter with them as Christ loved the church.

9. Looking up to Jesus Christ means that children will obey their parents in all things and the fathers would not provoke their children to anger.  Servants also obey their masters according to the flesh and not with eyeservice as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord.

HOW TO PROVE YOUR LOVE

Doing What He Says

The best way to prove anything is by action. If you love Jesus, your actions will show it.  The Lord Himself commanded those that love Him to obey His commandments, so it is strange that someone will say they believe in God but don’t do what He commands. It’s like saying, “God, I believe in you, but I won’t do what you ask me to do.” That seems ridiculous. For one thing, even the demons believe and tremble; but that didn’t save them (James 2:19). I am sure Satan and the demons witnessed the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ; but it didn’t change them.

If we do what Jesus says, that obedience proves our love for Him. Otherwise, to say someone believes but doesn’t obey means they did not believe in the first place.  You can be a Lawmaker or a Lawyer, that knows the Law, but if you don't obey the speed limit, you are lawless.

Witnessing Christ to the World
Seeking the lost was Jesus’ mission while He was here on Earth. So the question is, what are you doing about soul winning, Is it your Calling, and are you laboring to win souls?  By going into all the world, to share the gospel and win souls into the Kingdom.  When we do this consistently, we show God that we are doing what He asked us to do (Matthew 28:19-20).

By Loving Our Neighbor
The two greatest commands were given by Jesus. Of course, the first one was, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 22:37-40). If we are not loving our neighbor, then we are not obeying God, as the Apostle John writes, “Whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes” (1 John 2:11).

Being like Christ
Being like Jesus is the essence of serving the Lord.  The disciples were like Him in every respect, to the end that people could not distinguish Christ in their midst.  The Lord came to give us an example and if we follow His footsteps, we will be like Him, especially when the Spirit is inside of us, nothing shall be impossible for us to do, through the Spirit that works in us.
