How to Provoke Abrahamic Blessing upon yourself...!

 Prosperity is progressive!

Introduction

The way to prosper is to look forward.  Just like Joshua directed the children of Israel to consecrate themselves before they go into battle, he also directed them to prepare their hearts and bodies to go forward and possess the promised land which the Lord had promised their fathers.

There was a platform to move forward and possess the land - The promise of the Lord to their fathers to give them Father to give them the land and finally, he told them to forget their past and move on. Joshua 1

Kingdom prosperity is predicated on the covenant God made with Abraham.  I stand to be corrected, but I think that "God had blessed Abraham in all things" was only spoken about Abraham in the entire bible, no one else was so described.

So, kingdom prosperity is based on the covenant of sacrifice of Abraham, who believed God's promise for a son for 25 years, and when the son came, after the boy has known his father and mother and the boy could walk with Abraham three days journey to mount moriah, the Lord asked Abraham to sacrifice the boy as a burnt sacrifice and he obeyed.

Characteristics of Abrahamic Covenant
Abraham was noted for his patience and hope...His faith also being very strong in the Lord.  He was known to have displayed hope, when there was no human motivation for hope.  He hoped against all hope. These may be the experiences of would-be Abrahamic covenant believers until they are established to blossom in their chosen careers and business.

Friends, there is no future for lazy Christians who are not ready to endure and persevere hard times, trusting and believing in the Lord to fulfill His purpose in their lives.

Christians who want to be successful on their own will struggle for long and might even fall out of faith.  To persevere in the Lord, believe and trust Him to perfect what you are doing and remaining unmovable are virtues Abrahamic covenant believers cannot lack.

The Christian faith is a way of life for many who understand it that way.  It is so sad that people do not come to this point early in life due to our personal ambitions and goals.  Many Christians treat the faith as secondary, after their personal and family issues, so it takes almost a life time to come to terms with some important issues of faith and align with the Word of God.

Along the line of our personal vision drive, many forget that it is God that is establishing the success we are experiencing in other to establish the covenant He made with Abraham unto us, even this day.  Some beloved sisters would say they are well loved women, and I would how how?  Because I get favoured all the time and from different people.

Revelation
When you get a revelation of the covenant God is making with you, you will submit yourself totally unto the Lord, honour Him and resist the devil  to enter into everlasting dominion that is yours. The covenant has never failed, and it won’t fail for you. As you do your part by engaging the covenant in your life, every financial stress will be terminated in Jesus’ Name.

Remembering that God is our source helps us give with the right motivation. Giving is a selfless characteristic of being a Christian. Sons and daughters of God do not argue over giving to God, and nobody led by the Spirit of God argues over tithe, first fruit etc.

Through His grace, God has blessed us so that we can bless others. These blessings have a way of circling back to us. Helping the poor and sharing our abundance with them is itself, a powerful witness for the kingdom of God. When we give generously without congratulating ourselves or expecting anything in return, we quietly make an impact on others’ lives.

Giving is a way to build others up, not to make ourselves look good. All good things come from God, who has blessed us abundantly because He, Himself, is a giver. Giving a portion of what we receive to others is simply sharing what comes from Him.

Trusting in God
When we trust God more than money, our giving becomes a joyful expression of love and gratitude. It demonstrates the condition of our hearts. God loves when we give cheerfully, not out of guilt or a sense of obligation. He loves us even if we don’t give, but doing so makes us partners in His overall plan.

This act of faith creates avenues that allow God to move in ways we don’t understand. Trusting in ourselves will never get us the results we want, but trusting in Him as our source of all prosperity opens supernatural doors. Acknowledging the role that GIVING plays in our relationship with others encourages the Lord to shower us with more blessing.  As  we make happen for people, what they cannot achieve by themselves, God makes greater blessing take place in our own lives.

Favour
People just love me and are willing to help.  Then I would say...It is the favour of God that is at work in your life, in order to establish the covenant of Abraham in your life.  The covenant of Abraham is an ever growing, ever potent covenant of all round prosperity.  The bible say Abraham was well stricken in age down to old age unto translation.

Abraham was now old and well advanced in years, and the Lord had blessed him in every way. Abraham was blessed in all things because that is the nature of Abrahamic covenant, whoso blesses you I will bless, and whoso curses you I will curse, I am the Lord.

Abrahamic covenant is a dominion covenant that when you catch the revelation, you will not need anyone to preach to you to walk upright before God, or to honour God with your Tithe, Seed and other kingdom givings that is used to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Confidence
Seeing the revelation of Abrahamic blessing resting upon us gives us confident that our tomorrow is surely going to be better than today.  It shows you that no matter how blessed you are now, better days are ahead of you.  When you realize you are well favoured because of His love, you will trust Him more than riches, and no matter the ups and down you are facing, you will remain unmoved.

When you have such understanding about God, even in famine, you will continue to give out to the needy and the work of God.  Have you seen someone counting loses and yet giving to the Church and people around him, that people starts thinking he did not loose his car, or his shop never got burnt etc.

Provoking the Abrahamic Covenant
Abraham did not just enter into the covenant that God promised him in the beginning.  He got the promised at the onset when God spoke to him in his father's house, but he worked out his 'Salvation' so to say.  God also tried him and he passed the test of all test before the blessing could rest upon him.

Friends, no lazy christian has a future.  You must discover what to do and do it to provoke a continuous rainfall of blessing. Remember that the Holy Ghost is God's gift for man after repentance, but you must receive Him and open up your whole abode for Him to take over and guide your way thereafter.

Some Christians receive the Holy Spirit into some aspect of their lives and hold on to the rest areas.  The limit the Holy Ghost in their lives and end up loosing the presence of God.  When you hold-on to secret sin, filthy talks and jokes and little gossips here and there, your lifestyle will frustrate the Holy Ghost.  Remember He is holy and cannot dwell in a dirty heart and body.

If you do not open your whole life to the Holy Ghost, how will you grow in the spirit?  How will you recognize your sins and repent of them?  It is the Holy Ghost that rebuke and reproof us of any wrong doing.  It is His prompting that exposes the hand of Satan in our lives, and cause us to repent and obey God.  But, if you keep Him away from some aspects of your life, you are not sincere with God and with your salvation.

Once I confronted an old friend about his closeness to a woman in his office and he said nothing was going on between them.  According to him, the lady is just his mutual friend...and I asked What is that? You are married and therefore, no language can be used to justify closeness to another woman in your office.  It is how God asked us to live.  We cannot live like worldly people, we are pilgrims here.  There is nothing like mutual friend with another man's wife!

How do you Stir up the Covenant?
There are major activators of the covenant of blessing:
1. The Word of God
2. The Holy Ghost
3. Obedience to the Word
4. Faith
5. Holy and righteous living
6. Power of spoken words
7. Maintained through Prayer

 The Word of God.
Abrahamic covenant is a covenant of sacrifice.  Abraham received the promise by sacrifice, so whoever wants to provoke Abrahamic blessings must be ready for sacrifice.  The first sacrifice will be to study to know the Lord and His ways through the bible.  We must acquaint ourselves with the Word of God and receive the Word in our spirit.

The Lord told Joshua that “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success”

Whatever you want to accomplish is possible if you can study the word, obey and do the word, all will be well.  There is no condition of life that is not captured in the bible, so follow what the bible said concerning situations that confront you and you will surely be victorious.  If you follow the word, you will find success and the prosperity you are looking for.

Making the Word of God your way of life does not come easy, it comes by a consistent life of studying and meditating on the word and putting whatever we discover in the word into practise in our live.  If we just study and meditate and thereafter continue in our old ways, we are not doing well and the word will not profit us.

But, if we listen to the words, study and meditate on it and apply our mind to the wisdom in the word, then our heart will begin to soften towards the word to receive more and to obey  and do them. When we obey the word and do what it says, and we receive the reward of obedience...it will be a pleasant thing to do thereafter.

When we enjoy the freedom and success of obeying the Word of God, retaining the word in our heart, confessing and doing them will become a pleasure and the Holy Spirit will start working out new things in our lives.

Let the word live in you and in your thoughts and actions.  It is the word that created seasons and times, so the word of God is seasonless and timeless and every situation will bow to the word of God released in its season. As your lips get accustomed to the Word, so will your trust in the Lord rise to a new level.

Gift of the Holy Ghost
You need to receive the Holy Ghost and take steps to stir up that wonderful gift of God.  Wherefore I put you in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands.  This is Apostle Paul writing to Timothy.  So, the gift of the Holy Ghost can be in a believer and remain powerless because the Spirit has not been stirred up.

The gift and power of the Holy Ghost would remain dormant until it is stirred up with faith actions and Words. When  you successfully provoke the Spirit of God in you by your strong faith and positive confessions and decree, by your walks of faith, He makes room for you.  Remember the Holy Ghost is a person, He makes a way for you and before you say jack Robinson, you become the favoured man or woman.  You receive help whenever you need help and little by little, He establishes you into dominion on the earth.

Proverbs 18:16 says that A man's gift makes a way for him, and bringeth him before great men.  It was not talking about your material gifts alone.  Just tell me, what kind of material gift would Joseph have given to Pharaoh that will make him Prime Minister in Egypt...NONE!  But, by the gift of the Holy Ghost, the power behind the revelation and interpretation of dreams, a way was made for Joseph in Egypt.

When the gift of the Holy Ghost entered our Lord Jesus Christ after His baptism, he became a new man and immediately became bold to enter the wilderness to be tempted by Satan.  Anyone trying Satan without the gift and power of the Holy Ghost will only receive disgrace. Our Saviour was energized by the coming of the Holy Ghost to face and defeat Satan.  That done, His messianic office was established.  I see the Lord establishing the covenant of Abraham upon your life today also.

Power of the spoken word
The power of spoken word can be seen everywhere in the bible, right from Genesis to revelation.  The word of God in the mouth of a believer is very powerful.  If you want to experience the power of God, make it a point of duty to speak only the word of God to situations and challenges confronting you, you will be amazed how they will all bow!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue Prov 18:21 and you will remain unbeatable in the battles of life, if you chose to speak the words of God.  Check out Moses and his words to Pharaoh...They were only the word God had commanded to him.  They were words exactly as God spoke them to Moses.  Though there was resistance by Pharaoh, but eventually he caved-in .

In Genesis 1:28, God spoke and blessed man.
He says: “And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.” and It has been so till today

Looking into the book of Joshua again, we see the Lord making a prophetic statements that stood in favour of Joshua and made him and the children of Israel to prosper in the wilderness and possessed the promised land. The Lord says:
1. "No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you"

2. Be strong and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

3. Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

All we need to do is to consecrate our tongue and dedicate it to God.  This means that you have decided to speak the truth only, never will lies be found in you mouth, you will not speak failure, defeat, poverty.  You will not use your mouth to curse or involve in dirty jokes and perversion.

When your tongue is consecrated, when you pronounce blessing, blessing will come.  Let the word of God in your mouth provoke the power of God and the angels into action. When your word prospers, you have also prospered!

Faith
Abraham believed God could do just anything, and there is nothing impossible for Him to do, even to bring back his son Isaac to life after he had sacrificed him.  With such believe, he set out to sacrifice Isaac unto the Lord.
This was his highest test of faith in God and he excelled !

And the bible said in Hebrews 11:17 that - “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, ‘In Isaac your seed shall be called,’ concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.”

Abraham believed that God was able to raise Isaac from the dead, if God had not spared Isaac’s life

Abraham believed that God had a very good reason for asking him to sacrifice Isaac, and that somehow Isaac would have to be raised from the dead to fulfill the promises God had made concerning him. Abraham’s willingness to give up his son was uncommon and by so doing, he inherited the promised dominion as the father of all nations, one that had no son became what God had promised to make him - The source of blessing unto all people and families of the world.

Covenant of Faith, Obedience and Sacrifice
We can from the scriptures above that the Abrahamic covenant was one of faith, obedience and sacrifice.  Abraham’s faith was tested twice and found to be okay.  He believed the promise of God and it was counted for him as righteousness, he obeyed the instruction to sacrifice his son Isaac and it was the sealing of the covenant which God made with him.  God vowed by Himself, that in blessing , He will blessing Abraham and his seed for ever.

Abraham obtained the promises God made to him by faith and consequently, the seeds of Abraham who have faith, will inherit the promises of God given to Abraham. Abraham heard the word of God, and believed God and obeyed His instruction and left Haran of the Chaldees.
