It is a known fact that the Spirit of God and that of Satan
try to win the thoughts of a man. The
thoughts of a man are motivated by the forces of good and bad. The good and
godly thoughts are from the Lord, while the devil controls all the contrary
thoughts and imaginations.
The internal enemy of man is the sinful thoughts and other
contrary imaginations that seek to control a person’s life. This strong force inside of a man from
birth is called the ‘old man’ inherited from parents. Without Christ, most people will just do what
the spirit asks them to do, whether good or bad, but after receiving Jesus
Christ, the Spirit of the Lord enters into the heart to dwell.
After your salvation, there will be constant conflicts
between the forces of good and bad living inside the person, in a bid to
control the person and his or her actions.
That is why the bible says you are the servant of who you obey. If you obey the voice of Satan, the person
becomes his servant. If you obey the
voice of the Lord, you become a child and servant of God.
After salvation, the two natures are at war with each other,
so we must make a choice! We either allow
the Holy Spirit to guide our new life, or we continue in the old ways. Your heart becomes the battleground and your
ears must resist the voice of the enemy.
That is why you should know who you are in Christ. In Deut 7:4, the bible says God chose Israel
to be a special people unto Him above all the people that are upon the earth –
That who you are after receiving Christ, so you should know you’re special, and
cannot behave like others.
SUNDRY SPIRIT THAT ALSO SEEK TO
DOMINATE PEOPLE
There are many spirits waiting for people to misbehave, so
they can possess them. These spirits
wait in the gap for men seeking pleasure, entertainment etc. Some of the spirits enter people through
their eyes, as they watch evil videos. Drink alcohol, engage in adultery, even
as they look at pictures etc.
The spirit of women, masturbation can possess a man through
his eye as he watches an evil video, Or when he is looking at strange pictures of women.
Going to the wrong places can expose a
person to the influence of different spirits that control such places.
Whenever such wicked spirits enter a person’s life, they
seek to occupy and live in the person’s body.
Prominent among these spirits include:
The spirit of Women
When the spirit of a woman is controlling a man, you will
notice that man will be thinking about women and sex all the time, his heart
will not be pure and it will be hard for him to live holy. That person needs
deliverance to be free!
The spirit of a woman is the spirit of lust. When it is controlling a man, such a man can
hardly please the Lord, no matter his position in the church. Spirit of lust must be dealt with immediately
otherwise, it will deal with the person

The spirits are so stubborn that the bible said in Matthew 12:43-45 that “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out. It takes a lot of prayer and faith al battle to send these spirits out of the life of their victim.
The spirits put fear into the heart of many people,
especially when they needed to have strong faith and look unto God for
deliverance. They make people to lose hope in life and think of taking
their own life. The voice is always from
the inside. This is why the scriptures
and deliverance are the solutions to people having suicidal thoughts. Give them the word of God and cast the demon away
from them.
HOW TO OVERCOME THE INTERNAL
ENEMY – ‘The Flesh’
There is confusion and constant worry in the life of people under the influence of contrary spirits until those spirits are expelled. There is an intense spiritual battle for the control of that soul by the Spirit of God and the spirit of the devil. The devil represented by the Flesh is interested in enjoyment, smoking and drinking and all immorality, but the Spirit of the Lord is interested in moulding the man after righteousness, to please the Lord.
The two spirits are contrary to each - one is light and the
other darkness. The man must be
sensitive of the voice he hears and acts upon.
If he hears the voice of the flesh, asking him to smoke, drink, go
clubbing and enjoy himself, that is the spirit that will control him and soon,
he would forget about God.
But if the person listens to the voice of God and
continually amends his way as the Holy Spirit will prompt him, soon his life,
behaviour, belief and conducts will change for the better. When this happens, the Flesh will be reduced
in size and significance.
1. The flesh is interested in everything that
glorifies the devil and put the man in spiritual bondage like carnal
entertainment, pleasure, drinking, dancing and frolicking around. The flesh wants
to be known, recognized and respected.
The flesh is full of pride, arrogance, greed, covetousness etc. You have to say no to the Lust of the
Flesh, the Lust of the Eye and the pride of life.
2. The devil will come around you and whisper some words
or ideas into your ears, which is not scriptural, and if that idea is not
rejected and expelled, then Satan will continue to press the person’s heart
with the idea. Soon, the person will
begin to meditate on the idea as well as how to execute it. Whether the idea is to commit stealing or
adultery, the devil uses the same method to sow his evil seed into the heart of
men. You have to resist the idea
and expel it from your heart immediately, and never meditate on it.
3. One of the greatest keys to overcoming the flesh
or internal enemy is to keep your heart pure.
A pure is one that will reject any word or advice that is contrary to
the word of God. A pure heart cannot
meditate on evil, or imagine it. You
have to make the word of God your food everyday, meditating and doing it.
4. The enemy within is more destructive than external
enemies (e.g witches, occultist etc). One evil thought that the enemy slips
into the heart of a man is capable of destroying that man and if not contained
or stopped.
Conclusion:
Let us live a life that is pleasing to God and internal enemies will willingly go away. If our life can attract the presence of God, both internal and external enemies will not see space in our lives to hide.
