BIBLE PHILOSOPHY:.....Miracles are Temporal solution, Everything is Vanity!

This afternoon, I was meditating on the philosophy of life contained in the book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon writing on the vanity of life.  You will discover that man comes and goes, one generation after another.

People get desperate for change in their conditions, they seek healing, deliverance and financial breakthrough from God, but after the healing, the man will eventually die. After the new job and great pay package, you will retire one day.  The only thing stable is the word of God, Everything is Vanity, even the  will pass away one day.

For the bible says in Genesis 8:22 - "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease. This means that at the fullness of time, the earth in its present form will pass away.

But while the earth remaineth, the Sun, Moon, Stars, Wind and Rivers and all other parts of material creations will remain. God laid the foundation of the earth that it should not be moved for ever and that's why water flows from the Sea into the Rivers and return again to the Sea, yet the Sea is not full. Your eyes is not satisfied with seeing, neither your ear filled with hearing.

The Sun causes vapor to arise and fill the clouds, then they are sent down to the earth as rain to water the plants, habitation and run to the river and again into the Sea.

in the eyes of King Solomon, life is based on profit and loss, the profit being your gain and the pleasure you eat and enjoy arising from your labour.  Apart from this transient profit that you enjoy, what you eat, drink, merry and fulfill the lust of your heart, everything else is VANITY.  According to him, Life is Vanity.

He says that your works, labour and struggles are Vanity and all together unprofitable, as it is repetitious and never satisfies.  Anything a man achieves without the Lord is Vanity, though the person may not know it at that time.

Wisdom, knowledge, madness and folly - all of them vanity, for in much wisdom is much grief; and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.

"Vanity of vanities," says the Preacher; "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity."  What profit has a man from all his labor in which he toils under the sun?  One generation passes away, and another generation comes; But the earth abides forever.

The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, And hastens to the place where it arose.  The wind goes toward the south, and turns around to the north; The wind whirls about continually, And comes again on its circuit.   All the rivers run into the sea, Yet the sea is not full; To the place from which the rivers come,

All things are full of labor; Man cannot express it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, Nor the ear filled with hearing.  All things are full of labor; Man cannot express it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, Nor the ear filled with hearing.

That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, "See, this is new"? It has already been in ancient times before us.  There is no remembrance of former things, Nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come by those who will come after.

I, the Preacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised. I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind.

What is crooked cannot be made straight, And what is lacking cannot be numbered.  I communed with my heart, saying, "Look, I have attained greatness, and have gained more wisdom than all who were before me in Jerusalem. My heart has understood great wisdom and knowledge."

And I set my heart to know wisdom and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also is grasping for the wind. For in much wisdom is much grief, And he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.  Source: Ecclesiastes 1
