How Exercising your faith triggers ....Mighty Demonstration of God's Power!

Introduction

The demonstration of the power of God is by the Spirit of God and as God wants it, though many times servants of God could make a request that God will consider and honour urgently.

The demonstration of the power of God is through faith, for without faith, no man can please the Lord. Strong faith in God gives audacity to the prophet or Pastor to decree a thing that God will approve and establish for him. It is also a function of your closeness to the Almighty God and the level of sacrifices you have made, are making and will continue to make in order to bring glory and honour to the name of the Lord.

Demonstration of the power of God will be according to the level of knowledge you have of spiritual things.  What is your depth in the spirit and what can you command? If you are a child of God that really wants to do exploit for God, it is imperative for you to know how the kingdom of darkness and how they operate and some of their weapons of warfare. This is because, the more spiritual we become, the easier it is for us to have victory over the enemy in the battles of life.

Our fight is actually against Satan, whom you will not see, except you belong to him, but his agents are around you everywhere you go.  It is these people that gather information from around the community.state,nations and the entire world for Satan.  If you know about Jesus our Master, then you should know a little about the enemy - After all, how can you defeat an enemy you know nothing about.

Many are called, few are chosen

Are you ready for spiritual progress, the way to go it spiritual growth is to study and meditation on the scriptures daily, embarking on deliberate soul winning efforts and praying without season. The devil reporting you to God have his own kingdom, well organized secretly and highly orchestrated around the world with departments and units under the control of fallen spirits (Demons).

The bible says that many are called, but few are chosen. It is obvious to me that the few chosen are the few that are ready to pay the price of spiritual growth and development in Christ.  Those who are unwilling to study the word daily, meditate on the word and act on them are not ready for spiritual growth...and the power of God. It is always amazing that many believers find it difficult to labour in prayer and bible study, even though we know it hold the key a transformed life.

For many, being a believer is for the blessings that God will give them and nothing more.  The healing when they are sick, deliverance, when attacked by Satan and connection and favour the Lord gives to His children. Many find it difficult to separate themselves from their past lifestyles and friends and focus on knowing God and His power.  

Such believers still want to live their old lives as though nothing has happened in their lives. They fear  persecution on the one hand, and on the other hand, they are not convinced in their spirit they can live differently. No wonder it is difficult for such believers to declare openly in their office that they have met Jesus Christ and that they are born again.    

Once, I preached to a lady who told me bluntly she love the Word I preached and even love the Lord, but that she is not ready to live the believer's lifestyle as at that time. I asked why and she answered and said she was a single lady, not yet married and that life was hard for her.  She is not sure she can live holy and upright as expected of every believer at that time.  

Her problem was FEAR. With such high level of fear, faith and what God can do for her jumped out of her consciousness and all my pleading with her was rebuffed due to unbelief. This lady told me she attends prayer meetings, night vigils etc for God to change her story for better.  We want a prosperous life which God can give us and yet we are not prepared to pay the price of holy living. 

Developing Spiritual Life

The reason why every believer should develop his.her human spirit is because in 1 Corinthians 2:14 made it clear that a canal man cannot receive the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him. What I am writing now about the importance of developing your spiritual life is foolishness to many who are canal. They will say "what is he talking about"?  Yet man is both a spirit being and a natural being and your spirit man is the real you.  This is why anything successfully done to your spirit man will manifest in the physical before long.  

Just as the devil attack our faith and try to steal every word of faith that people receive, in the same way, the devil attach us spiritually and openly to hinder us from developing our spiritual life.  He knows that the moment you are spiritually minded, you are on the way to fulfilling your destiny on earth and he cannot keep you away from it again,  Neither can he cover your eyes that you do not see into the spirit and know what is happening around you.

If and when you develop your spiritual life, you will see the need to walk in the spirit which the bible recommended for all believers.  When you walk in the spirit, you will not make provision for the flesh. Let me give an example of making provision for the flesh. Remember that flesh is the 'old man' of pride, he want recognition, power seeking, pleasure seeking.  

When you refuse to take some actions about your life as a believer, you are making provision for the flesh. If God delivers you from the spirit of drunkenness and you still keep wine and beer in your fridge for your visitors, it means you are not persuaded you should stop drinking. You are making provision for the flesh...one day you will return to those drinks you are still looking at in your fridge.

If you are delivered from the spirit of lust and you refuse to delete naked pictures on your phone, even if you stop watching naked videos, those pictures hanging around you is enough for the devil to use and return into that person's life again...and then his condition would be worse than before.

Walking in the Spirit

When you walk in the spirit, you will walk in the fear of the Lord - resisting the voice of Satan to do what you know is not right.  You will hate sin and love righteousness and holiness. The Holy Spirit will steer the gift of righteousness which is already inside of you to begin to manifest in the little things you do every day and in the decisions you take.  So that before long, people around you will know that there are certain things they should not discuss with you. Why is this?  Because they know what your opinion about such things will be, so their master, Satan would advice them not to bother discussing it with you.

Walking in the spirit is a command every believer should take serious. The bible says to be spiritually minded is life because it is as we walk in the spirit that we are able to take cognizance of the Holy Spirit and follow Him and receive from Him. When we walk in the spirit, the Holy Spirit comes alive in our heart and we become careful not to grieve Him.  When we walk in the spirit, we are able to hear the voice of the Almighty talking to us, the voice of the Holy Spirit giving us instruction and guidance.  

As we walk in the spirit, our eyes are opened by the Holy Spirit to know what belongs to us in Christ, they are spiritually discerned.  Some people are sick unto death and they cannot claim divine healing.  They have the bible with them, yet they cannot open healing scriptures and read those scriptures to their spirit man and command the sickness ( A stranger to go)....NO. They will not do so because they are not in the spirit, so speaking such words is foolishness to their healing.

Deepening your spiritual prowess
Developing your spiritual man starts  with spending more and more time with the Lord through the study of His Word and meditating on it.  We are called to fellowship with God and every friendship is deepened by fellowship.  The more time you spend with your wife and children, the more bonding, love and peace you will see in the home. The time spend studying the Word of God is a precious time, add meditation to it, spend quality time also meditating on the word you studied and see what the Lord will do with you and for you.

Let me make it clear that our relationship with God is more important than any work we are doing for His kingdom.  Jesus must know you and heaven recognize your voice due to your close and warm relationship with Jesus Christ and due to your obedience to the Word of God. Your purity, spiritual maturity and right standing with God is more important to God that the word you are preaching unworthily.  

This is because, if you are a worthy vessel, you will produce much fruit whenever you enter the 'farm'. No one should be surprised by this statement, because when you walk in the Spirit, you align yourself with the Spirit of God and your will is yielded to the Holy Spirit.  When that is done, the Holy Spirit takes over from you at such times, so that the word proceeding out of your mouth is not your own but His.  You become only a vessel through which the message and mind of God is transmitted to the people you are preaching to. 

Embrace Righteousness

You would have to embrace righteous and holy living and abide in Christ, that's the condition that produce much fruit. May the Lord bless His word in your heart and give you the grace to walk in the spirit in Jesus Christ name.

What did the bible say about Righteousness

Righteousness is a godly way of life.  It is a life that practise goodness, an important attribute of God.  Righteousness is practiced, daily by those who understands what it means.  It means to show other people the goodness of God.  When you see someone in need, help him.  You see someone crying  for help and you can assist him, do so willingly. As you celebrate with people who are free, visit people who are in bondage and those who are sick in different hospital and treatment centres.  The bible says 1 John 2:29, that  whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he our God is righteous.  Also everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him, for blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!

The righteous seek the things of God, His righteousness and organize their lives to please the Lord. The bible says such people shall be blessed.  Those that hunger and thirst for righteousness, the Lord God will satisfy them.

To live and practice righteousness is to forsake evil and every dishonest behaviour.  In Isaiah 33:15-17, the bible says that 'He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking on evil, he will dwell on the heights; his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure. Your eyes will behold the king in his beauty; they will see a land that stretches afar.

So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.  For we know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.  Therefore, the righteous is expected to flee evil works and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.

There may be persecutions, trials and even hardship for the righteous, but there is also an assurance from the scriptures that if the righteous should suffer for righteousness' sake, in due time he will be blessed, so the righteous should entertain no fear, nor be troubled.  In 1 Peter 5:10, the scriptures say, after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 

Finally, there is a warning for the righteous in Ezekiel 18:5-9 - “If a man is righteous and does what is just and right— if he does not eat upon the mountains or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, does not defile his neighbor's wife or approach a woman in her time of menstrual impurity, does not oppress anyone, but restores to the debtor his pledge, commits no robbery, gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment, does not lend at interest or take any profit, withholds his hand from injustice, executes true justice between man and man, walks in my statutes, and keeps my rules by acting faithfully—he is righteous; he shall surely live, declares the Lord God.
