11 Reasons .......... Why Your Prayers are Not Answered

God is faithful in all things and at all times.

Problems are bound to come to us as long as we live in the flesh.  The truth I have discovered is that many atimes, people stroll into trouble without knowing. Imagine a man or woman over 40 years eating so much food, taking soft drinks and sugary foods as though he is a teenager under 20 years. This is a weakness that facilitates sickness.

No matter the problems that confronts a child of God, you have the keys to ward it off. But in finding solution to any problem, you should first search your heart and environment to know where the problem or sickness is coming from.

You need to meditate on the matter and ask the Spirit of God to help you. It is important that you identify the root of a problem, so  you can pray targeted prayers and rest the matter at once.

Your prayer should be direct to the problem as Jesus  counselled us to "speak to the mountain". Command the problem out of your life, destiny, business, family etc.  Call the problem by name and command it to go.  They have ears and must obey word spoken in faith in the name of Jesus Christ. If you don't have faith to pray for other people, you must have faith and boldness to pray for your self.

As a child of the kingdom, you know the rules for getting what you want in the kingdom.   In the kingdom, to receive anything from God, our Father, you must go to Him in faith, believing that He is the only provider of the solution you are looking for.  When you pray to Him in faith, you must believe in your heart that He has answered you before you receive it physically.

When you know you have received, then you begin to praise Him and thank Him for answered prayers and continue to praise Him until you possess your answers. Without faith, you cannot receive from the Father.  If you pray without believing that He will answer you, then you are only talking to yourself.

Generally, the following are some of the reasons why prayers are not answered:

1. Faith in God  - Mark 11:22-24
Jesus said "Have faith in God and then command the mountain to be removed". Before you can believe, you must first have faith in God, then speak the word with faith to the mountain and believe in your heart.

Whosoever does this shall receive answer to his/her prayers.  For many people, it is easy to pray for a few minutes about a problem and move on, without any persuasion in their heart that the prayers are answered, such a person is not doing well.  Begin now to believe that your prayers are answered and you will have them.  Never you doubt your God or your won prayer

2. Worry and anxiety
Worry and anxiety after prayer is a sign of unbelief, which cancels your prayers effectively.  By the time you finish praying about any matter, whatever fears you had concerning such a matter must leave you.

3. One thing is Important
When you present a matter to God, say that one thing that is important to you at that point and not too many things.  If you need a job and want to intercede for job before the Almighty God, then concentrate on job and pray for mercy to receive the job. Ask for favour before men, Ask for new opportunities to come your way.  Commit all the applications you have sent already and the new ones you will be sending to God, asking Him to make a way for you.  Concentrate on job and when you are done praying, believe.

4. Unforgiveness  -  You need to forgive people who offended you.  Its hard for some people when their emotion is involved, but there is a strong connection between forgiveness and answered prayers as Jesus expressly stated in  Mark 11:25  - “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

5. Ask for Mercy -  Believers who need God's intervention should learn to ask for mercy, especially when you are engaged in spiritual warfare battles.  Mercy triumphs over judgement says that once mercy appear for you, every judgement of the enemy against you is cancelled.

6. Let the Word dwell in you richly
You may ask me what is the Word dwelling in you got to do with answered prayers.  It has a lot.  If the Word of God dwells in you, you are able to bring Jesus into the scene.  Jesus Himself said in  John 15:7  “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you".

7. You’re focused on the problem, not the Solution.
Focusing on the situation after praying will nullify your prayers.  Let the matter rest after prayer because you are serving a Mighty God who knows all things and able to do all things.  If you are in doubt, before prayer, pray with the scriptures promising the answer you are looking for and the assured that His word cannot fall to the ground.

8. Be Strong, Don't cry for the enemy to rejoice
You’re not permeated to cry, be strong and commit everything to God in prayer.  Remember the word of God in John 14:14b which says "Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.”

9. Let the Spirit Lead you
We should always be calm in challenges and meditate on a matter before we begin to pray.  It is in meditation that secrets of the matter is revealed to us and then the same Spirit of God enlightening us will lead us to praying right.  Remember that we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words Romans 8:26.  The spirit leading you settles the issue of praying amiss

10. Put the past behind
You have to let your past be over when you are praying to God.  May be you prayed for the same or similar things in the past that did not happen, put past experiences behind you and move on with renewed vigor hoping and believing God for a better experience.

11. Become His child
The bible says in Mathew 6:33 ”But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” All the conversation is possible for you when you are His son or daughter.  So the first thiing to do is to give your heart to God and invite Jesus into your hesart as Lord and personal Saviour.  After becoming a child of God, you embrace His word to obey and do them.....whatever you are asking God to give you shall be done.

Remember that Jesus came to earth in search of you and died to set you free from all the problems of life.  Give your heart to Him today, don't delay it.
