Introduction
Good health is something to be treasured because when a person is sick, practically everything about him slows down and even gets to a halt if healing prayers and medical attention does not get to him on time. Here's one thing we need to know about healing, it is procured by your faith. Do you believe in the written word of God, can you pray these words of healing to God in faith, doubting nothing, then your healing is assured.
Everyone healed in the bible received it through their faith, except that 'bent-over' daughter of Abraham, whom the Lord healed in the temple. When the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus and receive her healing, Jesus said to her "Daughter, be of good comfort, thy faith has made thee whole, go in peace". And to the Ruler of the Synagogue, whose daughter was said to have died, He says "Fear not, only believe and she shall be made whole" Luke 8:48, 50.
God has made elaborate provision for your good health and healing in His Word and by the sacrifice on the Cross by Jesus Christ. Healing is your Covenant right. If you want it, it’s yours. It’s not up for debate, as far as the Word of God is concerned. The problem is that many Christians haven’t truly believed it. They find it difficult to express their faith in God's word and stand on such word and declare their own healing despite the pains they may be feeling.
God has said it, and many of them confess it, but they haven’t yet believed. If that is the case with you today, know that the word of God is true and it is God’s will to heal you. It is in His redemptive plan. It has to be His will because He laid our sickness and disease on Jesus, just as He did our sin (Isaiah 53:5). God made His Word plain, and it is settled in heaven and nothing changes it. As it was in the day of the disciples so it is today, He always keeps His Word.

I have learned from experience that all you need to receive your healing from God is to develop your faith to the level where there is no alternative to the word of God. You need to cultivate and exercise patience in tribulation, waiting on the Lord and resting on His word. The moment you develop such faith in the word, then you should know how to confess the belief in your heart. Confess your healing out to whosoever is interested in listening. Tell them that Jesus has healed you, for by His stripes you are healed.
When you arrive at this junction, don’t ever have to deal fearfully with sickness or disease again. No matter the situation, you are able to speak the word of healing and command the situation to go in Jesus's name. This is the knowledge that shows your days of sickness and disease are over. Healing is one area the Lord has given us 'power of attorney to speak and act according to our faith in His word and He would back us up. No matter the sickness you are experiencing and for how long, you have struggled with it, you can speak to that sickness and watch it lose its hold on you.
Testimony
I want to share this testimony of a woman of God, who was sick some years back and because of her kingdom involvements, she was well known to many renowned men of God, who prayed for her recovery, but she never got healed.
One man of God after another and yet there was no solution and she was still bedridden. Then suddenly she remembered the word of God and His promises. According to her testimony, three (3) days after the time the physicians had given her to live, she went and collected 50 scriptures that forbid her from dying before her time and started praying those scriptures. You know what?, that was how she miraculously got healed, just praying the scriptures to God and believing Him. That woman is still alive today, years after they told her she will die.
Believers are not only expected to be healed, but we should also believe God to live in divine health. John G. Lake said, “Divine healing is the removal by the power of God of the disease that has come upon the body. But, divine health is to live day by day, hour by hour in touch with God so that the life of God flows into the body just as the life of God flows into the mind or flows into the spirit.”
Power in the Word of God
There is power in the word of God, they are not mere words, but mighty and powerful to bring to pass, whatsoever it was meant to achieve. In Genesis, the bible says that God created the world and everything in it by His Word and nothing was made that was not created by His Word.

This is why the word is a mighty instrument for healing and deliverance. The bible says they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. The Word of God is life unto you, your bone, marrow, your kidney, Lever, and reproductive organs if you can continually confess the word to that part of your body that is weak or failing, it's just a matter of time before your healing appears.

That was why the Lord was asking whether there was no balm in Gilead (Jeremiah 30:17). God is saying is there no physician in the house, Is the Word not around you and in your mouth, then why are you still sickly and bed-ridden?

I have sent my word to you and in your spirit, why are you still sick and bedridden, claim your healing by faith and it's yours. Here is another thing you should know: You are not saved to die in sickness, no matter the nature of sickness or the name of the sickness, speak the word of God to that sickness, contend with the devil by the word, and reject every sickness from the devil. Any time you notice your body is getting weak, it's time to stand against the sickness and command it to leave. The word never fails and will never fail. It is settled in heaven - Psalm 119:89.
Begin to live as though your body is not available for sickness. Rise up against the works of the devil around you. Rebuke and cast the devil out of your life. No demon should not possess or afflict a child of God. We have a physician in the house and His name is JESUS CHRIST your total health and healing are in Him.
You are forbidden to die in sickness unless it is your time to go home with the Lord. So, when you notice a voice speaking wrong words and commanding you to do things that are contrary to the scriptures, you rebuke the voice and cast that devil out of your life.
What is your experience?
What is your experience with sickness? Has an isolated experience caused you to believe maybe it isn’t God’s will for everyone to be healed? Have you prayed in the past and never got healed, so are wondering whether you can pray for yourself and get healed. Don’t let past experiences be the basis for your belief, let the truth of God’s Word be your standard.
Your faith is required for you to draw from the well of divine healing and live a fulfilled life in Christ. This faith is demonstrated by the actions you will take when you notice sickness in your body. If you will embrace the truth in the Word and apply it to your conditions, your healing is settled. The following steps will help you get healed and keep your healing.
1. Faith in the Word.
You have to believe the Word of God and stand on the Word when you need healing in your body. “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.” –Psalm 103:2-3.
Anytime a believer has a problem receiving or keeping healing, he usually suffers from ignorance of God’s Word and of his rights and privileges in Jesus Christ. Many people who claim to have faith don’t trust God when it comes to healing. They know the promises, and they even believe healing is their portion, but they just find it difficult to act the word. they find it difficult to speak and act as though the sickness is gone from you, that's faith.
God’s Word is the vehicle that will deliver the healing you need, not doubt or crying. God's word is medicine and life itself. If you are sick, it is the word that will get you healed and made whole. If you’re bogged down and feeling pressure, that’s a sure sign you’re not giving enough attention to the Word of God. The Word is what causes your life to work. It causes healing to come. So, you have to pay attention to the word, believe and act on it.
2. Ignore the Symptoms you feel
To receive healing, you must ignore the feeling of being sick, the feeling of pain etc and continue to say you are healed. The symptoms and pain you feel in your body are evidence that you were sick, but the truth is that by His stripes, you have been healed. But the devil has no intention of letting you keep your healing, he will fill your heart with doubt and unbelief, so you can say you are still sick. This is dangerous!
Brother Kenneth Copland gave a testimony of a brother who received healing in his ears. The man had been healed in his ears—his hearing had been restored. He was hearing perfectly for several days. But, then, about a week later, he couldn’t hear anymore. The Lord showed him what happened. As he went about his daily business, the devil would hop on his shoulder and say, “Did you notice you can’t hear as well as you did the other day?” Within a few days, that demon had talked him into losing his hearing. He yielded to it.
When the enemy comes at you with symptoms of sickness, you should not cry and say negative words like “Why does this always happen to me?” Instead, stand against him and say, “Glory be to God, this body is beyond afflictions of the devil. I refuse to allow you to put any sickness in my body after Jesus has already healed me.
It won’t always be easy, but that's the act of faith required from you. You have to make an effort. You have to stand for it, and fight the good fight of faith. It’s a fight you can win. You can win because Jesus gave you everything you need to win 2,000 years ago. He took your weakness and gave you His strength. He took your sin and gave you His righteousness. He took your sickness and gave you His health. He took every defeat and gave you His victory in its place.
3. Trust perfectly in Him
Until you can trust the Lord for your healing, and not the Doctor or the medicine, you may never get healed. “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”—1 Peter 5:7. There are people on a sickbed and all they are thinking about is how the medicine will work in their body, instead of seeing themselves healed. These people are holding onto their physical condition without knowing it.
They are worried about everything, thinking about the next doctor they would visit, instead of thinking about God and His promises. They are so wrapped up in their condition, they have a tight hold on it, as though sickness is their right. When it comes to receiving and keeping divine healing, Andrew Murray said, “The first thing to learn is to cease to be anxious about the state of your body.” We must learn how to rest in God, and before you know it, the symptoms will be gone.
4. Doubt nothing
The only record of anything hindering Jesus from accomplishing the will of God to heal everyone occurred in Nazareth was their doubt. He could do no mighty works because of their unbelief. Doubt will rob you of God’s blessings. Unbelief will leave you sick. “And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.” –Matthew 13:58
You will have to trust the word, more than your doubting it for it to work for you. The Word of God defeats unbelief. When a person receives the Word, doubt, defeat and discouragement have to leave. So, don’t hang on to any doubt or unbelief. Don’t even dwell on it for a moment. Let the Word of God drive it out. Your life depends on the Word of God. Remember, doubt comes by hearing unbelief, so be careful what you listen to! God wants you healed. But your faith is required to release it.
Years ago, a minister went to visit a man in the hospital who was unconscious and given up to die by the doctors. The Lord told the minister to tell the man’s wife that if she would obey Mark 11:23, her husband would be healed. So, she did! Day after day, she sat next to her unconscious husband and said, “My husband will live and not die, in Jesus’ Name…My husband will live and not die, in Jesus’ Name.” As a result, the young man was fully healed.
5. Confession brings possession
The word of God in your lips is your healing confession. Speaking the Word in your heart out is the key to receiving it. If you can believe it and speak it, then it shall be established unto you. Never be discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Sometimes healing comes instantly, but there are other times when it comes more gradually. So, don’t let your lingering symptoms cause you to doubt. Cast out every thought the devil sends your way. “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering.” –Hebrews 10:23 (KJV)
Then, having done all that is necessary, stand until your healing is fully manifested. Hold your ground. Don’t waver. James 1:6-8 tells us that one who wavers and doesn’t stand strong is unstable and double-minded, and won’t receive from God.
Do not forget that: “He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful to fulfil His word. You have need of patience, and to endure the temporal pains, so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised” - Hebrews 10:23, 36.
6. Faith is Active
Faith is active, not passive. Faith is demonstrated in adverse situations, and when the body is sick, your faith is required for you to receive the healing you need. When you have spoken the word of faith, there will be contention in the spirit, with the devil trying to make you say wrong words contrary to your healing confession. At such times, You focus on the Word of God; you focus on the promise. Don’t be moved by the temporal pains, hold on to what you believe.
Make up your mind to resist every lie of the devil, stand on the Word of God, staying out of doubt and worry.
Healing Wonders
The Bible speaks often of miraculous healing through faith in God.
Jesus's healing is for us today just as much as it was when he walked the earth and performed miracles of healing the sick and disabled. The Bible tells us that "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5. Jesus can still heal today!
Praying Scripture back to God is a wonderful way to focus on his promises and provision. You can pray these Bible Verses out-loud over your life, sickness, and your loved ones with faith in your heart, you will surely give a testimony.
The power of God to heal has been demonstrated and is evidenced through both Old Testament and New Testament Scriptures that God does have the power to heal our physical bodies, and some of us are living witnesses to this awesome power of God. Miraculous healings still happen today!
All you need to do is to believe and pray as Jeremiah did. He says - "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." - Jeremiah 17:14
When you are overwhelmed with health problems, bad news, or relationship struggles, the Word of God can be your source of supernatural help. Don't give up! God promises greater things in store - a future filled with promise and hope! This is the strength of believers in Christ. We know that His promises are sure if we can just believe and pray, the healing we need will be ours.
Apostle James says - "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven." - James 5:14-15 if anyone is sick pray and healing will come
And the Lord told the Jews, "He said, “If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.” - Exodus 15:26
"Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you…" Exodus 23:25
The following verses of scripture are God's promises and assurance for your healing. Speak them to your body, shout them loud and prophesy them until they enter into bones until you rise from that bed of affliction.
You can receive your healing right in your living room by speaking the Words of God. Remember there is no sickness without a spirit attached, and the spirit hears your decrees. They will leave your body when your words are mixed with faith.
Isaiah 41:10 do not fear God is with you - "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Jeremiah 30:17 - For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds says the Lord; because they called thee an outcast, saying this is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
Jeremiah 8:22 - Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered.
Isaiah 53:3-5 By His stripes we are healed
1 Peter 2:21-24 - Who his own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Psalm 107:20 - He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction
