How to overcome Hatred, relationship breakdown........Through Love and Love!

PERILOUS TIMES

Beloved, let us welcome the Holy Spirit into our lives afresh, and continue to give thanks to the Father in heaven for His love and mercy towards us.

Perilous times should be an alarm to believers that things will no longer be the same. Your faith, your love for God, purity of heart and zeal will all be tested.  It appears that many Christians are already swayed by the happenings, without realizing that it is just the beginning of the challenges that will lead to the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Perilous times, turbulence, crisis, earthquake in diverse places will precede rapture - the taking away of saints, just before the coming on stage of the Anti-Christ and all believers should know and be ready for what is coming!

I understand that many churches do not like pastors to preach from the book of revelation, or talk about rapture for the fear it brings to the members, and I wonder why it is so.  These are events that human being have no control over, they must come to pass and everyone living is already fulfilling the scriptures.

Take for instance the prophesy that in the end-times, men shall be ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Is it not happening now, even among men and women of God.  Many  have first, second, third and fourth degrees, and many have three P.hds from different universities and on different subjects Why? -  They want to be the best in their field.  Are they fulfilling scriptures or not? - of course, they are!

I need our brothers and sisters, youths, all and sundry to understand the challenges of this times we live in, which the bible aptly called 'Perilous Times'.  The importance of looking at this topic is the 'awareness' it creates in the heart of people.

WHAT DID BIBLE SAY ABOUT  -  Perilous Times: -  2 Tim 3:1-7, 13

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Having seen again, what the times ahead look like, shouldn't everyone who loves his family, friends  and the church, discuss, teach and talk about perilous times?

It helps many to examine their ways and return to their God, without being waiting for evil reports to force them back to God. Please understand, that I am not a dooms day prophet, but the truth must be told. Turbulence will increase and resistance to things of God is already intensifying, and it will not be long before being a Christian will be heavily opposed.  It's already happening in China and I pray that none of us will miss rapture in Jesus Christ name!

WHAT WE SHOULD DO... How to counter it:

1. Love - Know that all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution, but let us counter persecution, hatred with love. The Lord encouraged us to love our enemies.  This is the time to love even our enemies, so we can win more souls to the kingdom of God.

2. Knowledge of the holy scriptures, and an abiding faith in Christ Jesus despite all the challenges and troubles of life will be a great virtues to uphold. Believers must live soberly, be temperate with sound faith, charity and patience, if we will overcome corruption and grave perversion that has already entered the earth.

3. Holy Living - Believers must embrace holiness and practice it as a standard.  Believers should also remember that 'All unrighteousness is sin' and guide their behaviour in this present world. Following the world or pursuing worldly dreams and goals will only injure such a believer or draw them out of faith subtly, God forbid.

4. Married sisters should be sober -  Love their husbands and children and present their bodies and marriages, a living sacrifice unto God, which is their reasonable service.  This means that when a woman keeps her body, heart and thoughts holy, when she keep her home in godly way, when she loves her husband and children and care for them, she is fulfilling part of her destiny service before God. It is a reasonable and countable service before the Lord.

To prove the importance of this service, when ever a woman is discreet, chaste, keeping her home warm and happy, praying for her family and obedient to her own husband, the word of God be not blasphemed in such a home, rather the name of the Lord is glorified by the children, her husband and even the neighbours.

LOVE OF GOD  -  The events coming will cause men's heart to fail because of fear (Luke 21:26.), but it should not be so for believers.  The peace of God will be lacking in the heart of many, believers must let the Love of God have its way in our lives.

It is a time to embrace love, so we can be bold to assist  others as the grace of God upon our lives makes possible.  We should learn to love people like never before. Jesus said that in the last days the love of many will grow cold. A clear mark of the last days is actually relational breakdown—where people will not be able to have effective relationships and become very easily prone to hardness of the heart. Passionate love will wane as brothers and sisters do not know how to love one another with a forbearing love that endures.

We must be willing to love those who don't love us back. We have to move from just loving people who agree with us to loving people even when their lives are filled with struggle and junk that make us want to get away or even reject them.  Though the world may hate us - for as they hated Him, but may we carry a love that is so tangible and potent, that our accusers will acknowledge and give thanks to God.

Pray - Dearly beloved, perilous times are upon us! We need to approach the throne of God daily through prayer, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Preach the Gospel - Lastly, Let us be apt to preach the gospel - which is a good news in a dark world. The Gospel of Jesus Christ changes people! The change our world stands in need of is a change of heart and mind!

We need to be sharing our faith and our testimony of His goodness, especially what Christ for us at the cross in our conversions with people of all class.  Let people know there is hope for humanity and that hope is in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

What did the bible say about loving one another?

1. John 13:34 - A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

2. 1 John 4:20 - If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

3. 1 Peter 4:8 - Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

4. John 13:34-35 - A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

5. Romans 12:10 - Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

6. 1 John 4:7-10 - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

7. 1 John 4:11 - Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

8. Romans 13:8 - Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.

9. 1 John 3:18 - Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

10. Galatians 5:13 - For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

11. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 - If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; ...

12. Luke 6:31 - And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

13. John 15:12 - “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

14. Luke 6:35 - But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

15. John 13:35 - By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

16. John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

17. 1 John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

18. 1 John 3:16 - By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

19. Leviticus 19:18 - You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

20. 1 John 3:17 - But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
