Celebration of Vanity - Your Body!

Introduction

Sisters, the days are evil, as events of the end-time unfold before our eyes.  God love the women so much that He endowed them with beauty and intelligence.  The first group of women born to men were so fair...beautiful, that the rebellious sons of God, angels saw them and could not control their emotions.  They took them wives, of all which they chose (Gen 6: 1-4).  That sin produced the giants, mighty men and renowned in those days.

That was the devil trying to corrupt the seed of the woman, but God says No way!.  This end-times, the devil is doing a lot with women, especially in the area of fashion and body care.  Skimpy dressing and exposure of sensitive parts of a woman's body is the target of the devil, in order to destroy what is left of the saints of God on the earth.  This game is called Seduction, and the spirit behind it is called 'Lust' from the waters.  But daughters of Zion must never follow the worldly fashion orchestrated by the devil to achieve his evil designs against men.

The reality is that the devil manipulate ladies and women to leave parts of their body open, without covering.  At another time, the ladies are manipulated to dress with a very tight cloth that reveal the entire frame of a woman, and wait for this...At another, the devil ask them to wear what they call 'See through' dress.  These fashions trends are from the pit of hell and no child of God, should join in polluting and corrupting the people of the world and causing men to fall into immorality and breaking homes and marriages.

Great Danger
But, when a woman is dressed in any of these three corrupt styles, she is only: 
1, Advertising her spiritual weakness.  
2. She is inviting strange men upon herself.
3. She does not know the word of God and what it says about decent dressing.  4. She is also saying that the spirit of worldliness is controlling her.

She is telling the public that she does not know how to carry her body in dignity and honour, or she know, but cannot control her emotions and obey the word of God.  The great danger in all these is that "You are unfortunately sending out invitation card to strange men of all kind to yourself.  You are inviting Flies, vultures and wolves to 'feast' on you". 

When the wolves swoops on you, they will devour to the root, leaving you with nothing. They will expose you to life you have not known before and later leave you dry, by which time you can hardly concentrate on anything else - but s*x. 

Then, poverty sets in. You are reduced to a 'Slave Girl' and your life depends on what you can get from men.  Dignity and respect is gone for such a lady - That is usually the sad end of many ignorant girls - Such will not be your portion!

Ladies - Don't let your beauty deceive you. Beauty is transient - it disappears with time.

Spiritual Implication of Skimpy Dressing
        
The general trend today is that girls are putting their body on display, by wearing daring clothes and uncovering their bodies. This is a direct assault on men who are influenced by what they see.  Men are attracted, sexually, to badly dressed girls because they think such ladies will be easy catch for them.

Skimpy dressing pollutes the atmosphere with alot of sex appeal and immoral attitudes.  The environment becomes sexually electrified and the heart of men is filled with sexual sensations. That is what lead men to patronize prostitutes. 

The world is not interested in living a life patterned after the Word. Likewise, a Christian should not be interested in living a life patterned after the world. The unbelievers prefer a dress that draws attention to their bodies, which reflects extravagant and changing fashions.

A Christian sister should not attract undue attention to herself. Clothes should not be provocative or suggestive, should not expose large areas of the human anatomy nor have a conforming fit with suggestive intent.

Short and Brief dresses drive away the Holy Spirit away from us and then frustration and disappointment will set in for such a believer.  This is why skimpy dressing is a negative for a Born again daughter of Zion. If you loose the Holy Spirit, your comforter and guide, how will you survive this perilous times?

Tight and mini dresses shows indiscipline - It could indicate that a person is not able to control his/her body.  The person has low moral fibre and she is considered weak spiritually.

Provocative dresses attract wrong people to the person wearing it.  Indecent dressing invites wrong men, married men to a spinster and welcomes spirit husbands to the lady.  When you dress in the way shown above, you become vulnerable to the spirit beings from the water, who are seeing weak women to possess and use to destroy men old and young.

If a woman dresses provocatively, she can cause a man to sin, similarly, the Christian man should seek a godly appearance.  Matt 5:28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Women in revealing dresses are known to be women of easy virtues, hookers etc.  So, why should a decent lady dress in that form?  Why should a born again sister dress that way?  That is not your portion.

What the Bible said about Female Dressing:

The Bible states it clear from Old Testament that God is not delighted in His children exposing their nakedness. From Genesis, God made the first clothing for humanity after they fell into sin and were sent out of the Garden of Eden. The LORD God made the clothing with animal for a purpose - to cover their nakedness. So from here the primary purpose of clothing, of dressing, is to cover our nakedness. 

All senses will agree with this, spiritually, physically, philosophically and mentally; that we wear clothes primarily to cover our nakedness. So when a person wears clothes and the nakedness is not properly covered, the person is not just being fashionable but working against God’s natural purpose; that is ungodly.

When a Christian who has the knowledge of the Almighty God exposes her body unnecessarily for the sake of being trendy, that Christian is a spiritual baby. The Bible admonishes us in Romans 12:1, to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. What does that means? 

God is interested in how you present your body as well your heart. God will not accept half naked presented body. How you present your body is more important to God than the sacrifice you present. He told Moses that the children of Israel should be careful so that their nakedness is not exposed, because that might attracts God’s wrath. Exodus 20:26

Biblical Perspectives

So what are the Biblical standards for dressing for godly women? The answer is that a godly, regenerated woman can wear anything as long as it goes along with biblical perspectives:

1. Moderation

The standard of the Bible is not anything goes permissive styles neither is it conservative legalism, Bible standard is MODERATION! One of the attributes of Christianity is moderation. Moderation in everything: how you live, what you say, what you eat, what you drink, how you dress, what you wear, car you ride, house you live in, what you use and so on. When you are in Christ, you don’t show off your self, because you are dead to the flesh. You don’t show your body, your riches, your pride; you show Christ and Him alone. 

2. Well covered: When you give your life to Jesus and living a new life in Him, you are not controlled by the world fashion's sense, you are not dressing to belong or please yourself, you dress primarily to cover your body as a living sacrifice to God. Because you realize your body is a temple of Holy Spirit. Anything you wear must cover you well. How? Your skirts must reach below your knees; your shirts must well cover your breasts; any tops, gowns, etc. 

Your wears on top must not show the trace of your breasts if you bend down and your underwear must be under, not over. That is the meaning of well-covered dress. If a Christian woman wears a cloths that doesn't cover her knees, that the trace of her breasts can be seen, that people can see any of her under wears outside, she does not present her body as a holy temple of God, she is defiling God’s temple.

3. Not Transparent:   Any clothing you wear as a godly woman must not be transparent or evaporated that your under wears will be seen. Since the purpose of wearing clothes is the cover your nakedness, wearing transparent or evaporated clothes has defeated that God’s purpose in such woman's life. Wearing transparent, evaporated clothes is an indirect nakedness and disobedience to God; it is as bad as half naked. As a Christian, godly woman, you are watchful of what you wear and how you wear them so that you are not disqualified by God just because of your dress-style.

4. No Tights:  If you are wearing skirts, gowns, shirts, native dress, self made, uniforms, whatever, where ever, it must not be tight. Wearing tight clothes that shows the shape and anatomy of your body to the world is also an indirect nakedness. You wear clothes to cover your body not to show your body shape. When the motive is to show the shape of your body then something it wrong, it is called inordinate motive. A godly woman does not dress to show the shape of her body, so body hugs and all sorts of tight clothing are ungodly and can lead to damnation and condemnation of one’s soul at the end.

5. Not Too Expensive - Modest to your ability:  Either a woman or a man, as a child of God, Bible directly warns us not to buy, wear expensive clothing, not because you can’t afford it but because you are a Christian, modest. Christianity is all about modesty, and staying within your means.  When you have more than enough, then you must desist from showing-off your riches and becoming self centred.  You should rather share willingly what you have with others, especially those that need help.

Prepare for the future - After modelling:

1. The ways to avoid poverty as a model is to invest in yourself, in your skills and develop competences that will secure a good financial future for you after modelling.

2. While you are modelling, choose a profession and invest in that profession and specialize it one aspect and become an expert.

3. Develop also your spirit-man and get acquainted with the Word of God and live by the Word, to fear and honour the Lord in all you do.

4. Put your trust in the Lord and work hard in honourable ways, never depend on your outward beauty which can fail, but let people know you have the intellectual capacity to succeed after modelling.  

As for men, you are responsible to guard his mind against impurity.  Take your eyes from the opposite sex that is not your wife.  No excuse is acceptable and do not hope the women will stop dressing provocatively.  The unbelievers among them do not know what you are talking about, so you are on your own.

What the bible says about dressing and appearance of women

1. 1 Timothy 2:9 - Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire,

2. Deuteronomy 22:5 - “A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

3. Timothy 2:9-10 - Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.

4. 1 Timothy 2:10 - But with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.

5. Proverbs 7:10 - And behold, the woman meets him, dressed as a prostitute, wily of heart.

6. 1 Peter 3:3-5  - Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands,

7. Titus 2:14 - Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

8. 1 Timothy 3:11 - Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things.

9. 1 Corinthians 11:10 - That is why a wife ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels

10. 1 Peter 3:3 - Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear—

11. Proverbs 31:30 - Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

12. 1 Corinthians 11:6- For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head.

13. Philippians 4:8 - Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

14. 1 Corinthians 11:15 - But if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.

15. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

16. 1 Thessalonians 4:4-6 - That each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.

17. Colossians 3:5-6 - Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming.

18. Matthew 5:8 - “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

19. Hebrews 13:4 - Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

20. 1 Thessalonians 4:4 - That each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,

21. 1 Peter 3:3-4 - Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

Ladies, its pleasant to look good, and attract all the attention to yourself, but when you complete your days on earth, "Where will you spend your eternity - In heaven or hell"? This is the time to work-out your salvation.  Now is the acceptable time!

Repent and give your heart to Jesus. He will give you a new life, victory and eternal life.  Will you accept Him today?
