THE SPIRITUAL GIFT FOR WORKING MIRACLES
INTRODUCTION:
Miracles are supernatural events beyond human comprehension. Each time the Lord cause the supernatural to take place, there is a purpose for it. It is not for entertainment or gainsaying, it is to bring glory to His name.
It is to bring honour and glory to God and blessing to men. Miracles occur outside the bounds of the natural, in rare circumstances, and goes to prove that God and only God is great. It God uses miracles to deliver His children from tight and hopeless situations, to remove satanic obstructions and demonstrate His supremacy over every other power.
As wonderful as the gift of working miracles is, you can have it. The bible said we should follow the ordinances of the Apostles, the ordinances of devotion to studying the Word, praying continually and witnessing to people - preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and winning souls unto the kingdom of God.
The apostles had the gift of working of miracles as they laid the foundation of the church and bore witness to the veracity of the gospel. This gift in a person is a sign that God is with such a person. The gift of working of miracles is given to edify the church and bring comfort to children of God passing through challenging situations.
I believe it will please God to see this gift alive in every church of Christ. You can imagine the wonders our weekly fellowship will become. Those people of little paid will soon see their faith in God rising as they see the raw manifestation of the power of God and diverse healing and deliverance of the oppressed.
The gift readily counters the lies of the devil and cause the church to 'sit-up' and be Spirit-filled. It promotes purity and scares the likes of Ananias and Sapphira.
The gift does not only help to administer the church, but it also assists in soul winning, demonstrating the power of God and confirming His Word, but the gift also works with the prophetic gift to draws multitude to the Lord through the frequent word of knowledge, instant healing and deliverance.
Apostle Paul in concluding his teaching on spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:13, advised the body of Christ to earnestly covet the best gifts in an excellent way.
In 1 Corinthians 14:1, he told us how to covert the best of gifts of the Holy Spirit by following after charity. He says "Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy". So prophesy is one of the best of all the spiritual gifts available in the church of God. But you have to covert it through charity - Love.
The presence of this gift makes miracles a daily occurrence. IT IS ONE OF THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFTS. When you have it, you will see yourself doing the work of God and those things which only God can do. You will also see the work of God becoming easy and fruitful in your hands.
This gift has incidentally become the most sought-after gift in the faith today. A gift that requires hard work in prayer, studying the Word, interceding for others, evangelism, teaching, preaching and show of love is now being sought after by lazy, unbelieving and even young believers.
This carnal desire has given the devil huge in-road into the heart of many believers and the result is that there are many prophesying through dark powers. Meanwhile, the real power is available to all with more commitment, faith, prayer, righteousness and holiness.
The presence of the gift of working miracle and prophesy in your life marks-you-out as one working with God, and of course, anyone with such gift automatically becomes the target of satanic attacks. If you have the spiritual guts to release the captives, reverse satanic decrees and disgrace the enemies and their networks, know for sure that Satan and his agents will come after you.
This is the reason why you must be bold and fearless. The gift puts you at the forefront of battles with agents of darkness. They will seek to stop you from making progress in your ministry as well as stop you from delivering more people from their captivity.
You must willingly surrender all your cares to God and separate yourself from all worldliness. If you are lusting after the things of this world, then there will be lust of the flesh and pride of life in your life.
If you are still pursuing the things of this world, the love of God will not be in you. What you will find instead, is love for money and with love for money is lusting for the opposite sex. You cannot lust after the opposite sex and still cast out demons of lust.
If you are seriously attached to the things of this world, the gift is not for you. Similarly, if you love money and God gives you the gift, you will most likely commercialize the gift and use it to make money for yourself. You will be collecting money fr services in the house of God that should be free.
Equally, if you have no love for people and souls when God gives you the gift, you will only use it to help your friends and family members and the people that show you love. Your enemies and people of other religion and other persuasions, you will not help. So, are you willing to surrender completely to God? Do you have a deep love for God and souls? and are you ready to separate yourself from the things of this world?
If you desire the gift of working of miracles and prophesy, then check your love life. Your commitment to the things of God and your love for the things of the world. Are you in fact 'sold-out' for the gospel?. These qualities are very important to ensure that you will not fight a little and run away. You must be ready to fight to finish.
If you are ready for this awesome gift, then be ready for a spiritual battle of your life, which you must win to be established. It is not like the gift of singing and praise worship, the devil will assign his agents against you, to stop you from manifesting to the whole world.
It is a powerful gift, you have to work with the Holy Spirit, the Commander in Chief of God's army, relying and depending on Him for battle strategies and divine revelation that will help you overcome the devil's agent assigned against you.
When you win the battle, then your time for valid and fruitful service has come. The angels of God assigned to you will become more visible and vibrant in helping you because you have passed the test of love, righteousness, holiness, humility and faith. Just like the angels ministered to Jesus Christ during His wilderness and Gethsemane experiences, so will they minister to you more frequently.
This is one gift that will bring you from obscurity to limelight. It will bring you before men of substance in your society and around the world. Though the enemy will continue to send the opposite sex to tempt you, if you remain faithful to your calling, honour will follow and glory will go to God.

3. 2 Peter 1:21 - For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this, you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.
This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.
Finally, the Lord warns His children to prove every spirit, before they believe, because false prophets and teachers will come. Every believer can attest to this reality today. False prophets are everywhere, doing all kinds of things in the name of Jesus.
