Evangelism & Soul Winning....Made Easy!
  • Make Soul Winning a priority, be compelled by Christ love...Do the work of Evangelism.
  • Lets learn how to build relationship with people across board.
  • Lets embrace others as children do!

Some issues are uppermost in the agenda of God, and one of them is the salvation of souls. This was so great a matter in the beginning that God had to send His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to this earth to reconcile us back to Himself.

So, the Son of God came to save the lost, preaching and teaching people the ways of God, and how to serve God and not idols.  He went about preaching and teaching - Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand - Mathew 4:17, and as He went preaching and teaching, He was also healing the sick, delivering the oppressed by the devil and comforting the weak.  He manifested the presence of God His Father and nothing was too hard for Him to deal with.

As it was in the beginning when God sent Jesus to the earth, so it is now that the second coming of Jesus is at hand.  The world we live in today is in dare need of soul winners and evangelists to boldly speak to people about Jesus Christ where ever they will find people.

If we will not take the death of our Lord for granted or live a selfish life, then we must all awake to the truth that we are the tools in the hand of Jesus Christ to reach sinners.  When Jesus commissioned us to go and preach the gospel to every creature, and promising to be with us, even unto the end of the world, He knew He is the one going to do the work, by the Holy Spirit in us, but we must make our body available and go to the places where people, unbelievers are for Jesus to preach to them and convict them.

We are the hands and legs of Jesus Christ to do anything and if we are not available or willing, we are not fulfilling our calling in Christ.  Evangelism or soul winning is for every believer as far as you have believed the gospel and the Holy Spirit of God is inside of you, and the Lord is inside so many of us, but many are so shy or too gentle to visit the sick in the hospital and command healing on them, many are so afraid to talk to a stranger about Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour.

What is Evangelism?

Evangelism is everything we do get the message of Jesus Christ to souls who need to be saved, which have neither heard the gospel before butare not yet born again.

Evangelism is sharing the word of God and doing those good deeds that touch peoples heart.  Evangelism is a command of our saviour to every believer as we are all product of someone's evangelism in the years gone bye.

Evangelism is seeking for the lost souls by a believer, who is grateful that God saved him and delivered him from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of His dear Son, Jesus Christ.  Recall that Jesus came to earth to seek souls of men and to reconcile them to His Father according to Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

He started going out to preach and teach immediately He returned from the wilderness. He also began to invite men to join Him in soul winning.  Math 4:19 - Jesus says “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”   Evangelism is "fishing for men" for the kingdom of heaven.  The Lord said the banquet is ready, go out to the highways and at every crossroads, major markets and shopping Malls and bring men to fill the banquet.

What is Soul winning:
Soul winning is everything we do to explain the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ to people who did not know Him, teaching them the word and the ways of God for their salvation in Christ.  When we win a soul, our duty continues on that soul till he/she is brought into the church and established in the faith.   Soul winning includes every good deed done to unbelievers and everyone that do not know the Lord, with a heart of love, not expecting anything in return.

...And Witnessing:
Witnessing Christ is one of the sweetest aspect of soul winning.  It is representing Christ to people and doing those good deed He did while He was on earth.  He told the apostles to wait behind in Jerusalem and receive the promise of the Father, which He told them about- Acts 1:4

And you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  Witnessing Christ is with power, it is not just teaching and preaching the word of God, it is teaching and preaching the word with power.

This is what happens when we pray for a sick brother and he receives his healing.  We witness Christ to a Spinster and assure her that God is mercy to grant her most important prayer request....and she say, that I may get married.  And the witnessing team presents the lady's request before the Lord in faith and give thanks for the marriage, and after few months, the sister gets married.

This is what happens when we receive word of wisdom and knowledge for the people we are meeting for the first time and the Lord confirms the word of prophesy we gave them, and they are grateful to God for locating them and remembering them.

Brethren, witnessing Christ, brings the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alive to people and build their faith in the Living God.  It gives hope to the youth of today who thinks there is no God or God is not near His people - for if this generation will believe in living Christ, they will have to see signs and wonders John 4:48

It has been said that 95% of all Christians never lead a soul to Jesus. May that never be said of you.

It is also true that 95% of sinners and unbelievers do not go to church, the church and everything we do in the house of God do not interest them. They may never attend either Church or Crusade meetings, so we have a duty to go for them where they are - on the streets.  All that Jesus is asking for is your availability to witness and faith that Christ will touch these people by the Spirit of God and convict them unto repentance.

What are the hindrances to Evangelism and Soul Winning Today:

I believe the hinderances to witnessing Christ among christians can be categorized into spiritual and physical challenges:

1. Many are not sure of their salvation
2. The demand of righteousness and holiness
3. Lack of Word of God
4. Many believers are facing spiritual problems

1. Lack of Trust
2. Fear of being mocked and
3. Fear of persecution
4. Work and business schedule
5. Shyness - Not knowing what to say

Before looking at the problems obstructing witnessing or hindering believers from soul winning, it is important to say that all the problems can be satisfactorily addressed, so that the man/woman with passion for soul can shine like a star in the firmament.  The Lord has taken some of us from those backgrounds to where we are standing by His grace alone, so we are not left without hope.

Secondly, the harvest is truely great, as we seem to have many people well educated, but lacking in the knowledge of God and unsaved.  Great harvest indeed, but the labourers are few and so I am praying that God will touch you and send you forth into the harvest today!

Why are Believers not winning souls?
Some of the reasons why believers are not evangelizing and winning souls include:

They are Not Sure of their Salvation:
The spiritual reasons why many are shy to witness Christ is because many of the Christians or believers today are not sure of their salvation.  In a situation where the born again sister or brother still keeps his female lover(s) after repentance, such a brother going out to witness is only deceiving himself.  A businessman brother who continues to deceive and cheat his customers and business partners can hardly have the courage to witness Christ

Also, a sister though born again, who gossips, lies and quarrel a lot with her neighbours and friends can hardly go for evangelism.  She may be truely born again, but she has to deal with those attitude problems.

Work Excuses:
I am busy in the office and after office hours I am tied, infact too tied to do anything. Let us make out time to do God's work - for it is He that gave us the work and business we are doing.

Lack of Readiness:
Brother, I am not well prepared, I don't know the bible enough and “I’m afraid to talk.” “I don’t know the Bible well enough.” “I’m afraid I’ll offend someone.” “I tried it once and I’m not good at it.” “It’s too personal to discuss.” .  I am not gifted in preaching the word of God, so we just gather to pray for the salvation of souls. Let’s not give excuses. Let’s obey the Lord.

Fear is a big reason Christians do not win souls. Most Christians fear what to do and how to do it in soul winning. Jeremiah had fear. God destroyed his excuse with Jeremiah 1:8, which says: “Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.” Also in:

2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Psalms 81:10, “I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.”

Do not fear being rejected by people. Jesus was despised and rejected of men. We are not out to be popular but to spread the gospel! Some fear they will say the wrong words. The smoothness of your presentation will come with practice. Besides, if the person is on their way to hell, you can do no damage if you are sincerely trying to get them saved. Where love is felt, the message will be heard.

Shyness:  -  This is overcome by experience. A new man on the job may feel awkward for a while until his skills are sharpened and he feels comfortable. The same goes with soul winning. The more you do it, the more comfortable you will be.

Lack of Deep Bible Knowledge
No one knows the Bible as well as they should. Do not be intimidated if someone asks you the age old questions about “who made God?” and “where did Cain get a wife?” and other foolishness. Politely tell them that whatever is not written in the bible is not an important information and so if the bible did not tell us where Cain's wife came from, then it's not important for us to know.

Why should we witness and win Souls?

1. It is Commanded in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:

Jesus, our Master started it and the apostles and disciples follow His footsteps in that direction - Acts 5:42, “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”

2. It is a wise thing to do - Proverbs 11:30, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”

3. It Glorifies God - John 15:8, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”

4. It Delivers Souls From Hell - Ezekiel 3:17-18, “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.”

5. There are Crowns and Rewards 1 Thessalonians 2:19, “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?” Daniel 12:3, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”

Basic Requirements for a Soul Winner:

1. Holy Spirit Power
It is the Holy Ghost that sends us out to go and win souls, and so if you don't have the Holy Spirit living inside of you, though you desire to go for evangelism, your work may be fruitless.  This is why the first requirement is having the holy Spirit.  This was emphasized by our Master Himself to the disciples, when He told them “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8).

Beloved, without the Holy Spirit inside of you, you preaching and teaching will be devoid of power and meaningless.  You will be talking to yourself and your word would be letters and not the Spirit.

2. Assurance of Salvation
You must know without doubt that you’ve been saved!!! “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13)

3. Purity of heart and conducts in Life
God desires to use clean vessels.

2 Timothy 2:21: “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”

Psalms 18:20: “The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.”

Psalms 24:4: “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”

1 John 2:15, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

4. Willing and Available
If you are willing and available, Jesus will use your body to visit and speak to sinners and unbelievers and you will know that He is the one speaking, if your vessel is clean “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2)

5. Burden for Souls
“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.” (Matthew 9:36)

6. Prayer
“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” (Romans 10:1) See also John 15:1-8.

As you meditate on this write-up, comfort yourself by the fact that many brothers and sisters have passed through the same tensions we are experiencing today, but by hard-work and commitment to fulfilling their calling, they ended up as great evangelists.  People like:

    • Build relationship with people across board.
    • Any one without Christ is dead while they live and may be loose eternity
    • Embrace people as children do!
    • Every soul is important - Judge no one by appearance or speech
    • Be full of love for that soul and pray they be established firm in Christ
    • Appreciate you're only standing by His grace
    • Believe the Holy Spirit will do the work, not you.

Soul winning is the joy of many believers, but getting those souls established in Christ and living a spirit filled life bring even greater joy.

Many believers find it difficult to talk to people about Jesus Christ, our Lord that saved them and delivered them from the kingdom of darkness unto light.  This could be because some people are shy by nature, others feel they are not prepared to speak to friends about Jesus Christ just yet.

There is the group of people who feel they don't know much about God to begin to witness Him to people, yet we can deduce from all these that many believers are either not sure of their salvation or are not appreciative of what the Lord did for us.  It will not be and understatement to state that some believers do not know what Jesus has done for us.

Beloved,  I have listed these few points of what Jesus did for us to appreciate God's love and mercy upon and empower every reader to use these points for soul winning.

The best thing that happened to me is knowing Jesus and it ids because of Him that I am still alive today.  On the contrary many souls have died because they did not know Him and so, could not withstand the darts of the enemy.

When you count your own blessings and number them, you will see the reason why you should help friends, relatives, colleague to see the light of Jesus and watch their lives being transformed by the Lord.

16 Wonderful things Jesus did for us are as follows:

1. His death purchased salvation for us in His name.

2. His death brought for us divine health and when we become sick, His name, blood and stripes procures our healing.

3. His death and resurrection brought us justification before God

4. His death and resurrection brought us direct access to God through His name, which hitherto was through a High Priest, thereby making Him our High Priest for ever.

5. That is the reason we can pray directly to God the Father today in His name.

6. His death at the Cross destroyed every curse working against us from generations past

7. His death brought us riches - For He died poor that we may be rich.

8. His death at the cross brought an end to all kinds of sacrifices of animal for the atonement of sin.

9. His death at the cross completed His reconciliation program for man.

10. His death purchased our victory over the devil for ever.  Without Jesus, no man can withstand the devil and his demons...but in the name of Jesus Christ, every knee shall bow, including Satan and his agents, every sickness, poverty etc shall bow....Everything thing contrary bows in His name.

11. All that believe in His name, to them gave Him power to be sons of God.

12. To all that believe in His name, Satan is under our feet because of our Lord Jesus Christ.

13. To them that believe in His name, all that our Lord did while He was in the earth, we shall do and even greater works, for He goes to His Father, and being seated on the right hand of God, He maketh intercessions for us.

14. In His name contrary situations, powers of darkness, principalities bow.

15. He is the one that baptizes us with FIRE...so that witches and wizard, occultists and all satanic agents cannot touch us.  The Holy Ghost baptism gives us access to divine power and covering.

16. He is the one that gives us peace...that passeth all understanding.  Peace that money and fame cannot buy, the kind the world does  not have.

When should we win souls?

Whenever we have opportunity to speak to people about Jesus - In the market place, offices, factory, street etc.  We are to seek to win souls when the opportunity is given. Wherever there are people there is our opportunity - 2 Timothy 4:2

We are to be on the job continually. We are to do it today (John 9:4), and every day that God spares us to live down here. But notice:

When ever the Holy Spirit prompts us, then there is a fertile ground for the word of God to germinate.  You go into action, fearing nothing and never thinking you are not well prepared.  What you know about Christ, say it to that person or group of people and the Holy Spirit will complete the work.

The Holy Spirit prompting is an opportunity that should not be missed, because what is happening in the life of the soul concerned and he needs the word to comfort himself or stop evil plans or plot against himself (Suicide) or murder.  Remember Acts 8:26-29 –- and the Holy Spirit is just the same today. He still waits to direct His servants to those He has prepared, and who are ready and waiting to be led to the Saviour.

We are to seek to win souls when the need is very urgent. Sometimes we may come face to face with a very needy and urgent case, then we must act quickly and faithfully. Perhaps a loved one or neighbour is dying, you should lead him/her to Christ without delay. John 9:4.

Where Should we Start:

So, please lets go 'soul fishing' starting from our own homes - For charity begins at home.  Tell your relatives that you have met Jesus and given your heart to Him.  Make it clear that you have forsaken Satan and sinful lifestyle, then invite them to church and to Christ. John 1:41; Acts 16:30-34

Your next target should be your friends and colleagues in the office.  Let them know you have met Christ and given your heart to Him.  Don;t hide your salvation, rather declare it, so they know you are no longer available for so many things you used to join them to do in the past like drinking. smoking, clubbing etc. Luke 5:27-29; John 4:39.

Be concerned about your neighbours and evangelize them.  You are called to be a witness, a representative of Christ in your neighbourhood. We are to win souls where ever we find ourselves with our attitude, conduct and speaking about Jesus to people around us.

In all these, you must live a life worthy of a 'new man' in Christ.  You should deepen yourself in the word of God, so that your transformation can be quick and visible to all.  You must indeed forsake sinful ways, forsake wrong and bad friends and companies (You know them) and be rich in good works.

If they are willing and ready to give their hearts to Jesus Christ or rededicate their live to Him, let the brothers and sisters say the following prayer as you lead them to Christ:  Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to you as I am, a sinner.
Have mercy on me and forgive my sins, cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus and make me your son/daughter.
I ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.
Lord Jesus, give me the grace to serve you in righteousness and holiness all the days of my life, Amen.  Thank you Jesus.

I am born again!

HOW TO SHARE THE GOSPEL....In your Workplace

Image result for How to share the gospel in the office

Just home from a busy two weeks in Aba, Abia state.  I am thankfulness to God for His protection, provision and grace that made the event in Aba a success.

I was meditating on the workplace and the temptations that go with the office environment.  The pressure for recognition and promotion and the temptation to cheat your spouse for promotion and other unacceptable reasons.

The question is how can you organize your attitude and actions in the office or business place to be seen and known as a child of God. What are the things that will help a believer to win soul in the workplace?

When you feel like sharing your faith or living like a believer in the office, you will have to deliberately built up a good reputation in the work place among your colleagues.  When you have done this, you can begin to plan and pray on how to witness Christ effectively to your colleagues.

Your attitude will be heaven-focused:

  • For you to be known among your colleagues as a believer and child of God means a lot. It means that in your conduct, you show that though you are in the world, you are not of the world.
  • You will also prove that God is first in your life and that you love the Lord with all your heart, strength and your substance as this is the greatest commandment
  • You will show them that you are a pilgrim on a journey here on earth, having hope of eternal home in heaven.
  • You will show that you are not worshiping money, rather God and only God.  Money is a strong influence on the earth and the love of it is the root of all evil.  Your colleagues will see from your actions where your trust lies, either in God or in money MAMMON.
  • You would have shown your faith and trust in God alone and committed to Him and benefited from the blessing reserved for committed servants of God.  They are interested in the benefits of the kingdom that has accrued to you to know what to expect when they follow you to your church.
  • You will prove to them that you know God and His word by the way you love your neighbor and brethren. When you love your neighbor as yourself, you show you know God.  When you show love to brethren, you show you are redeemed.  You must show love in the household of faith among your brethren if you are a believer in Christ....for by such love will people know that you are God's.

So how can we faithfully share the gospel with people at work? Here are some suggestions.

These are certain behaviour standards you expect a believer to manifest as a lifestyle.  They are the basic foundation of your christian faith and they are non negotiable.  They are not areas you will give excuses why you cannot measure up.  They are inexcusable, they are:

Dependence. Go to work utterly dependent on God (Proverbs 3:5–6; John 15:5). Without him you can’t breathe, move, think, feel, or talk. Not to mention be spiritually influential. Get up in the morning and let God know your desperation for him. Pray for help.

Integrity. Be absolutely and meticulously honest and trustworthy on the job. Be on time. Give a full day’s work. “Thou shalt not steal.” More people rob their employers by being slackers than by filching the petty cash.

Skill. Get good at what you do. God has given you not only the grace of integrity but the gift of skills. Treasure that gift and be a good steward of those skills. This growth in skill is built on dependence and integrity.

No Murmuring: A believer is not one that complains every time as though he does not know that God is aware of his conditions.  He is contented with what he has and would never respond to any move  to cheat or obtain anything by fraud.

Love. Serve others. A believer has a lifestyle of love towards his neighbour and even his known enemies. Be the one who volunteers first to go get the pizza. To drive the van. To organize the picnic. Take an interest in others at work. Be known as the one who cares not just about the light-hearted weekend tales, but the burdens of heavy and painful Monday mornings. Love your workmates, and point them to the great Burden Bearer.

Corporate shaping. As you have influence and opportunity, shape the ethos of the workplace so that the structures and policies and expectations and aims move toward accordance with Christ. For example, someone is shaping the ethos of Chick-fil-A restaurants with this video.

Impact. Aim to help your company have an impact that is life-enhancing without being soul-destroying. Some industries have an impact that is destructive (e.g., porn, gambling, abortion, marketing scams, etc). But many can be helped to turn toward impact that is life-giving without being soul-ruining. As you have opportunity, work toward that.

Communication. Work places are webs of relationships. Relationships are possible through communication. Weave your Christian worldview into the normal communications of life. Don’t hide your light under a basket. Put it on the stand. Winsomely. Naturally. Joyfully. Let those who love their salvation say continually, Great is the Lord! (see Psalm 40:16).

Money. Work is where you make (and spend) money. It is all God’s, not yours. You are a trustee. Turn your earning into the overflow of generosity in how you steward God’s money. Don’t work to earn to have. Work to earn to have to give and to invest in Christ-exalting ventures. Make your money speak of Christ as your supreme Treasure.

Thanksgiving. Always give thanks to God for life and health and work and Jesus. Be a thankful person at work. Don’t be among the complainers. Let your thankfulness to God overflow in a humble spirit of gratitude to others. Be known as the hope-filled, humble, thankful one at work.

Specific work attitude that support Evangelism

Do good work as a Christian.

A believer is a great asset in an organization because he is honest, trustworthy, hard working, creative and productive.  A  believer is always known by his/her hard work, principles lifestyle and commitment to the goals of the organization as though the company belong to him.  So, if you can do your work as a christian with hard work, loyalty and commitment, you are sure to build a reputation of a good worker.

You need to build a reputation as a person who works with purpose, creative, kind, a sincere helper and team player.  One that has respect for other people and their faith and beliefs, not a judgmental person, not a bitter person, not proud and not an overbearing and forceful person or boss. Then, you can begin to plan how you might witness Christ to your colleagues. They will see in you what you are preaching and how the gospel will transform their lives and meet their life needs of shelter, food and clothing.

All Good Work Serves God

Dorothy Sayers often said that all work done well and for God's glory is Christian work.   This means we model Christ in the workplace best when we perform our work so well and with such a good attitude that we inspire others to desire to know and worship God.

Paul explained it like this:  “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance.  It is the Lord Christ whom you serve” (Col. 3:23-24).

Christians in the workplace should be motivated by our desire to glorify God and to inspire others to desire to know him.  Work done well is uncommon, and it will be noticed by our colleagues and clients or patients.

God is honored when the products we create and the services we provide are excellent, based on the simple values of care, competence, and consistency.  We are to care about the welfare of our clients.  We are to pursue a high level of competency to enable us to deliver high quality products and services.  And we should be consistent in our pursuit of excellence.

Live like Christ

Those who don't know Christ may be inspired to seek him.  And those who have turned their back on the church and Christianity, perhaps due to a previous bad experience with other Christians, may be influenced to reconsider Christianity.

It is too common to experience other Christians in the workplace who talk the talk but don't walk the walk.  They talk about morality and Christian stuff, but their work is lousy and their attitudes are poor.  They may deliver poor product to the client or treat clients poorly or complain about their jobs or slander colleagues.  Such negative behavior hurts workplace morale, undermines work relationships, and adversely affects clients.

Instead, we are called to serve our clients with excellence.  The quality of a Christian's work and attitude should be different  from the quality of work and attitude of those who don't know Jesus.  We are working for him, and therefore our work should be good.  Clients should be able to clearly see the quality and value of our goods and services.

Put God first, share your testimonies.

Yes, let God be first in your life, whether at work or at home. Your use every opportunity to honour God before your colleagues and keep a simple and confident lifestyle.  Put a mark or draw a line on certain behaviours and actions you will never do or be part of which does not glorify God.  If you have such a list, pray to God to keep it consistently.
Let people know in natural, easygoing, confident ways that you're a Christian and your belief in different things.  When you hide your identity, you are not doing well as an Ambassador of Christ. Be known for wise decisions like those of David and Solomon -  all children of God are endowed with wisdom.

Build Godly relationships.

Strive to build an open and honest relationship with colleagues.  Be honest about some of the struggles in your life without being too personal and make the other person(s) feel you may have interest in then and thereby, they misunderstand your liberal relationship for personal interest, which could smear the relationship and make it inappropriate

To build a godly relationship with colleagues require wisdom and common sense.  It requires that you have some understanding about the colleague and his/her personal pulse because there are colleagues you will win to Christ without being too friendly with them.  You professional conduct and work ethics, friendly attitude, team play will communicate much more to your colleagues.  It is more so , when they discover it is your lifestyle.  You must always be honest.

Have a “mission field” mindset about your work.

Have you considered one of the reasons God may have deployed you to your job is bring some people into the faith..  When you have a mission field mentality, you will plot a strategy to win the field for Christ - This will means praying, planning and working hard at your work and gospel in order to spiritually win the place for Christ

In the mission field, different strategies are designed for different people in the target environment and that is going to be the same for your office.  Some people will require support to come to Christ, others will be encouraged by your honesty, dedication and professionalism.  Yet, some people will come to Christ through some special program.  In a mission field, things are done quickly and with some urgency because the mission field is not a normal church, but a revival and evangelistic ground.

Use the witness of the church.

As you build relationships with people, look for ways to involve other believers from within the office and your local church so that the colleague can feel more at home and when you have program, feel free to invite them to attend.  This way the they will know you are interested in their spiritual growth and please consistently operate within the biblical standards of conduct you have mapped out for yourself.

Know that one of the greatest witnesses to the gospel on the planet is the love Christians have for one another (John 13:34-35). Be ready to show your colleagues and all people love as much as you can.

Be a Christian Leader in the Workplace

A friend of mine who worked for A. G. Edwards told me that their CEO was involved in Bible studies for professionals and was intentional about encouraging others to know and love God. He lived generously by investing his time, talent, and money into other humans as he helped to build Christ's Kingdom here on earth. He was active in his local church, in missions, and at his local church. Louis.

His executive style and formula for success were based on Jesus' Golden Rule: Treat people the way you'd want to be treated.  He taught his executive team, managers, and investment advisors to practice the following simple principle:  place the clients first, the employees second, and the shareholders third.   He believed if you took care of the first two, the shareholders would be rewarded.

Evangelism may be the scariest things to most Christians, but
Soul Winners are joyful people. Soul winning is easier when you have love for people, especially unsaved souls.

Soul winning is one joyful experience when you have understood the mechnics of winning the lost. A joyful soul winner is a personal evangelist that functions anywhere and at anytime the opportunity is praying for comes his way.

So, she is prepared and ready with tracts and simple flyers, she knows how to start a godly conversation, from where she will confess Christ and the benefits of salvation to the soul. He/she is at ease in personal or group evangelism.  She knows Jesus and proud of His love and generous benefits.

Evangelism is good, soul winning is better and evangelism without soul winning is very frustrating.  Evangelism without positive result is faulty and should be reviewed and not be carried forward for the sake of it. There must be a reason!

Soul winning is simply based on developing and building relationship and being available for people and helping people.  The first rule is that you must have love for souls and don't forget this "You can hardly win a soul you do not love.  Faith working through love, you will say...YES!

You are free to start a conversation with people, especially at auspicious times and events as occasion demands, like in events and little get-together.

You are always young and young at heart, never proud or snobbish, never quick to judge others and ever happy and boisterous in appearance.  Always confident of God and what He can do at any time to those that believe and being ready to bring Jesus into any though matter that appears in the field, because when you bring Jesus Christ into the scene, healing, miracles and deliverance takes place.

You are a man or woman of power, a boy or girl of divine power and influence and heaven knows your name and your voice.  You are also a man or woman of few word, yet social. You are |Word-compliant and a light bearer.  See yourself carrying a touch light in your hands and searching for souls to illuminate with the light in your hands...And that who you are.

At different times and stages of your soul winning, you will have a question you ask people after exchanging pleasantries.  The recent one the Lord ministered to my ears goes like this "Brother, are you aware that Jesus Christ is coming back soon? - Does it bother you or have you thought what that means ?

As a soul winner, you are ready at any time to start godly and friendly relation with anyone in your target group with the mindset of helping that person, should you discover he needs an information or assistance which you can assist or you know someone who can.  Being ready anytime means that:

1. Soul-winners go along with their 'tools' in their bag - medium-size bible, tracts and targeted information that may be of interest to your target group.  I will give an example here.   If am targeting university students and around a Campus for evangelism and soul winning.  Before I start, I will find out the problems student in that university is suffering presently and how it could be solved.  It might be academic in nature, cultism, agents recruiting young girl for prostitution, financial hardship etc.

2. A Soul winner is growing in the Spirit continually and hearing from the Holy Spirit continually and as such, he does not joke with bible study, meditation, church fellowship and care and support in the church and outside the church.  I don't know if you have seen brothers who borrow money to buy books they consider beneficial for a brother or sister.  They are usually humble.  They may not know where the next meal will come from, but their last Dollar/Naira is used to buy food for his friend.

3. A good Soul winner is well dressed and looks confident and often times  comfortable, though he may not have much.  Ever optimist that God will do wonders for him and his new and old friends, joyful and smiling...sometimes, you wonder where the joy is coming from - I will tell you.  He has handed everything to God and follow everything with peace and strong expectation.  He know good news can break from anywhere and it always bursts for them.

4.  They are people endued with courage to follow people up after the first contact.  They persist and perservere for a soul until he or she is won.  They carry the mark of  TOUCH NOT! boldly written on their forehead. Many atimes they work with divine prompting and would hardly be turned back on anyone they have divine leading to win.

5. With experience, they know when to rap up a conversation, because sometimes people turn aggressive and non receptive and you will just thank him/her for listening and sharing  valuable points with you and let go and pray for a second chance with that person, when he or she will be in a good mood.

6. Soul-winners value result as it gives them hope and encouragement.  Good outcome increases their joy and willingness to walk an area or environment.  They avoid argument or arguing the scripture and politely handles questions with godly wisdom.

7. Soul Winners listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit a lot for direction and insight and test every spirit, whether they be of God or the devil masquerading as an angel of light.  They are employed by Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit and their services is unto the Lord - Simple.

8. Soul Winners pray and fast consistently - For without binding the strongman, you cannot take his captives away.

9. They are good listeners and motivators.

10. They have the same message for different age groups, but with slightly different presentation. Women and mothers have a different approach, Spinsters and bachelors has a different approach and fathers and aged men has a different approach and of course the young adults has their own approach.

The approach must be different because these groups are at different levels in Life and they are motivated by different issues and concerns.  If you miss the approach, the miss the target.
